I have ICICI platinum credit card, applied on FD based. If I get apay ICICI card, is it wise decision to close the secured card. I have heard apay card are not eligible for bank discounts on Flipkart or any other sites except on Amazon. The only reason I want to apply it for rewards 1 RP =1Rs. I mostly shop on amazon, but in some flipkart sales, I do shop on Flipkart too.

I recommend you to keep the platinum card if it has no charges. The main reason is that if there is icici card offer on Flipkart (or even Myntra) you will not be able to enjoy the bank discount with icici Amazon pay credit card. 10% discount> 1% apay cashback.

Close the Platinum card and release your FD.
if required you can apply for ICICI card again in future…If you have saving account high chances you will get pre approval for Rubyx LTF (This offers comes when you dont have Platinum card)…..nothing great in ICICI platinum (almost same offer can be taken on ICICI debit card)
