Should I continue to use 10 year old AC or buy new 5 star AC?

My old AC is working absolutely fine. During the current sale many 5 star ACs are selling at 35k. Would it make economic sense to ditch old AC and get new one?
Can you refer me to any article on this issue?

I'm not much of an expert but the build and finesse has decreased in the present crop of these machines. If you have an electricity guzzler buying a 5 star or inverter makes sense, otherwise sticking to old one and regular maintenance would do, provided it's not as old as a decade.

You can calculate electricity consumption of your current AC based on your usage. Then calculate impact on electricity bill and accordingly compare it against a new ac.

You will be able to find whether it is worth or not based on that only.

If your current AC is 4 star rated & is from a good brand//model then stick with it for now unless you see some very highly rated model with confirmed large savings by some members here.

Bhai, which AC are you using? Please tell the brand n model name. If the equipment is running fine n is not showing any troubles then it should be able to give you a good run in the future as well. 🙂🙂🙂

Wait for new Iseer AC's.  10-15% more energy efficient
