Good afternoon Guys

I was using a Vodafone Sim for a long and I have ported it to Idea 6 years back. Now I am abroad and the sim has stopped working even-though it is active. The Kottayam kerala office has told me that they cannt issue a duplicate since I am not present so I asked for an ownership change. They agreed to it and provied the sim, BUT after that they said that they cant activate the sim Since I have ported it back in 2016 and it is a TRAI regulations

IS There any regulations like that in this scenario

Could you pleaase help me pn this

You should have told any family member to get it ported in his/her name in starting itself..... Now without your presence nothing can happen....

While sim mnp.. Nobody asks for ownership

Whats the relationship of ported in 2016 vs current issue?

Let the number get deactivated. Then, ask any of your friends or family member from the same circle to get that number as postpaid. Use it for a few months and get converted to prepaid.

I followed this process for an Airtel number a few years ago. Not sure if it works for Vi or it is working now in general. If nothing works as a last resort you can give a try to this method.
