A query regarding SIM porting......

Airtel recently hiked min. Recharge plan from 99 to 155 (too high)

Which operator provides incoming with lowest amount recharge plan?

Jio. Enquiry with your local Jio store for free port out offers. Rs 239 free recharge was provided when I ported out this month from Airtel to Jio.

When earlier AVOID had restricted the ability to send PORT SMS to packs costing Rs 140 odd following Jio's complaint to TRAI they were forced to allow the same in the Rs 99 pack. Now that 155 is the minimum recharge available isn't it back to square one as far as porting out is concerned?

Is it so?

Then 75/119 plans needn't be recharged every month?

Thanks for the info

But port out facility/offer will provide only one time benefit..
Monthly how much we have to spend in JIO to keep incomings on?

The 75 plan is for Jiophone only. Jiophone vouchers aren't available anymore, either.

Yes but my point was that in order for porting out to be not too burdensome Airtel will again need to bring lower priced packs.

Jio reportedly doesn't stop IC calls/SMS. You still need to recharge once every 90 days to keep your SIM alive.
