Slice Card has partnered with multiple NBFC and they make a new entry in Credit Report most of the time you utilize the Credit Limit.

Was about to share the same Twitter thread here on dd. toungueout

Good, u have shared, people need to know. Already many discussions on dd on how slice screws up in addition to cibil score also takes contact information from phone and any late payment resulting in continuous calling to our contacts.

I have been using credit cards and no bank messed up like these nbfc. Postpe casually opened a credit line and closed. This has resulted in heavy reduction in my credit scores. Do not go for slice, Postpe or any other bnpl if you already have a credit card

Very true.
Though I don’t have Slice or postpe.
Amazon pay later is creating too much issue.
Unnecessary new active consumer loan is showing whereas I closed that account 4 months ago.

These pay later services comes to haunt later unamused

Flipkart Pay Later had already created multiple credit lines in my name. It’s better to stay away from such services if you value your credit score.

A big thanks to @guest_999 @Tanmayyy for spreading awareness regarding this.

I have never suggested anyone to take such “pretend credit card apps” like slice/lazypay/snapay etc & never will. A few hundred rupees of extra savings on such cards in a year is not worth it in the long term which many people fail to realize or realize it too late.

Other info just to share For all, do u know HDFC won’t disclose credit limit in CIBIL report, due to which your credit utilisation rate will go higher. even raised dispute on CIBIL ,they replied that they wont disclose credit limit, and when i asked CIBIL, they replied that’s not in their hands.

I too took heed of your advice and never touched credit lines, however tempting the offers were.
Most of the times they are giving rotation benifits, which is a greater evil than the credit line itself.

Your utilisation won’t go up.
because CIBIL clearly says that they don’t include  in calculating the utilisation percentage

the utilisation of cards for which the limit is unknown.

I’m frustrated that HDFC doesn’t declare limit because my card has decent limit, but never worried about the thing you were talking.

Can someone provide clear information?
Does it show up on CIBIL just by applying for the Slice account or Lazypay account (as per their personal experience)?

I recently got the card. I have wrote them a strong mail to for getting it closed now.

Sirji go to paytm/onescore/hdfc-cibil app/website. Search credit score on paytm and select it. For others you directly need to enter your details along with PAN card number and they will show all active loans and cards you have. For slice you might see minimum two loan accounts added in your cibil report. Here it also shows your payment history (ideally should be 100% assuming you have not missed any loan/card bills) this score is used by bank to get your credit history and if there is any late payment, high chances they will not approve loan or approve loan at higher interest rates. @equalizer @beamchota hope this helps

they will say just deactivate card and it’s done but I’d say to not agree with them. Make sure it’s closed on cibil since if not closed, the active loan account is inactive on cibil and they can wrongly report it and worst case let’s hope it doesn’t happen, the slice may need some capital and since your slice account is inactive but on cibil it’s active , they can perform a scam by taking loans from underlying nbfcs citing inactive cards are requesting loan and may use it for personal gain failing payment of which your score will suffer.
