Dimers, need ur inputs to handle this situation.
My booking made from Yatra on SpiceJet for 30-Oct is rescheduled by SpiceJet to 31-Oct. Recd direct email from SpiceJet, no communication from Yatra yet. I have forwarded the email to [email protected]
As the new date doesn't suit me, what should I do?
- cancel the flight from SpiceJet (SpiceJet provided this no-cost option). If I do, will get refund for Online Processing Fee (rs 1500)?
- wait for response from Yatra ( there is no CC number where I can call, I could only find email id)
Thanks!

Contact spicejet directly, & let them know you are not comfortable traveling on revised date, & hence either you can ask them to refund the complete amount ( they won't charge anything since as per the policies if flight timings are revised to +- 30 mins they will refund the whole amount) ( sure about Indigo not sure about Spicejet) Or you can ask to shift the booking to any of the alternative flight on 30th Oct
thanks. SpiceJet has given option for full refund but as per Yatra T&C
If a ticket is canceled directly from the airlines website, office or call center, the customer needs to Check Refund Status from MyBookings portal at Yatra. Yatra will levy Rs. 400 per passenger per segment.
also there is rs1500 online processing fee
Visit Spicejet's site, and explore your best suitable option for 29/30/31/1 or further. If you find a convenient option, contact SJ and tell them to reschedule that flight, Else contact SJ for a full refund.
No need to involve Yatra as it will be a waste of your time. Flight is canceled by the SJ, so they'll pass the full amount to Yatra and will mail you once they'll release the amount. However, it's up to Yatra to their cut.
Don't worry. it's a quite common event of cancellation. you're lucky you didn't get the alert on the last day.

Once spicejet refund is initiated & processed, let yatra know that your flight was rescheduled & hence spicejet initiated ful refund. They will mostly refund the complete amount to you.thanks. I have completely stopped booking go air and spicejet flights after 3 consecutive cancellations by them. Now I don't take them even if they offer half price than others.

Air India is getting better day by day service in flight is comparable with international flights atleast in my experience

Yeah, once air Asia , air india and vistara merger completes, it will be a good option covering all routes. Currently in most domestic routes, i don't see a reliable option apart from indigo.

Are these three going to merge?
Discussion are going on. Majority owners are same, so probability is high.
SpiceJet is just gone case... 2-3 weeks back, I was traveling and the flight was delayed by 8 freaking hours !!! and it was not intimated in oneshot, rather every 2 hours they kept increasing the delay time... I literally had to lay down on the airport in a corner to get some rest, as I had no other choice but to wait and travel...
Yatra would deduct service charges and refund the rest amount. Happened with me on indigo airlines when they rescheduled twice and i forgot to cancel the ticket. Had to complaint to pgportal and they refunded within 20 days.
