Yes these are more effective.
Earlier we have tried spin mops.
But this time bought this one https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B08BP...W/
After seeing goog ratings and refill availability.
No complaints yet. Takes less efforts

That flat kind one is actually the original kind of mop, and these spinning ones are an innovation.

I still have doubt of how the  mop is cleaned  washed after use  and dried  , using  that round one and  its cleaned  and dried by spinning  in the bucket

Yeah, I too don't have any issues with the spinning one. But since the surface area of the flat one is more, I thought it would be quicker and easier 

I remember when I was in school they had a lot of area to cover so they used these type of flat mop made of wood and steel
