If you are buying any product from chinese company like MI, Oppo,etc. You are actually paying more contributions towards china economy. To give a rough idea when you buy an Iphone (>₹40000) that has been assembled in China then you are paying $6.5 USD to china’s economy but when you buy any chinese company mobile for the same price. You are paying way more to chinese evonomy.
Takeaway:
#1.Don’t go for the cheap chinese product as it leads to impulsive buying.
#2. Stop buying chinese company product like Mi or anyother.
#3. Start buying those product which are not made in china and if that’s not possible than consider buying those product which are being assembled in china and completely avoid chinese product based companies.
Start from now and start with small.

Because govt can’t do it. If you impose any restrictions on these companies, their country will take counter measures. It’s upon the citizen to decide over which company to support.
Recent example: US threatening India over FDI rules that hurt Amazon and Flipkart (Walmart).
PS. I can give you a lot of examples and apprehensive post to prove the point that it’s not good but I choose not to (Time_pass 😛).

Moreover, the person who posted this thread wanted the opinions of dimers who find his post worthy enough to comment. Requesting to boycott Chinese products doesn’t make him a “Bhakt”. They could’ve easily moved on and ignored his post. He (fake or not) for sure wasn’t expecting personal remarks against him. Is this how we’re building a better community on desidime? A community that hate diverse opinions? A community that only likes to find fault with others? A community that judges people for their thoughts? A community that’s hell bent upon trying to shut those having a different viewpoint? I hope the answer is ‘No’.

In this era of globalisation banning or not using any product is not a solution be self sufficient be perfect so that users use indian product.
Totally. People will go and buy cheap good/decent products. Right now India is not a manufacturing hub so it’s hard not to buy Chinese mobiles as they say. People are not buying Chinese cars as such because Indian car manufacturers are also making great products . Also I hope that the relief package that government has announced be utilised in developing the infrastructure and manufacturing capacity of this country. A country cannot be a powerhouse until and unless it is self reliant.

Chinese products are like our liquor shops.. we cannot control the consumers unless govt bans it.
Lets first try to stop the exports of 1st quality Indians (from all industries) to other countries. Then only India will become self reliant. (For this too govt role is important)

The points stated by op is good to start with. Don’t fund the Chinese economy directly by buying Chinese manufacturers smartphones. Instead look for smartphones from Samsung, Apple, Asus, LG. Buying from these companies may still help Chinese economy in some cases but it will be in lesser percentage.
Samsung M21 at 12699 is a very good option below 13k. No Chinese company is giving full hd amoled display plus 6000mah battery at this price.Some will point at it’s processor, but listen not everyone play PUBG on their smartphones for hours.
On the other hand Admi has increased prices of Admi Note 8 from 9999 to 10499,then again to 10999 and then finally to 11499. Whereas Samsung has decreased the price of M21 from 14222 to 12699. So big tier 1 brand with no vulgar ads in browser is decreasing prices but cheap Admi besides geting revenue from ads, still want to increase prices.Jai ho Admi ki.

why dosent the GOVERMENT directly BAN these CHINESE & OTHER INTERNATIONAL COMPANIES like Unilever, Hyundai, Samsung etc etc in all fields, their are hundreds of foreign companies operating in India.
First the GOVERMENT allows them(and welcomes) to setup business in India and then this PROPAGANDA of Swadeshi nautanki. If GOVERMENT wants us to not buy from CHINESE companies & other foreign companies & dosent want foreign companies to take profit back home then simply close our f**ing economy for all international companies or tell them when they come to invest here that we will not allow you to take any profit back home.now if you want to invest then invest or go away.
