So, I am not a big fan of Anime movies/series until this LOCKDOWN.

Anime shows you some different aspects of life and different perspective towards life.  There imagination is something at different level. Its delight to watch anime movies specially. And there would be some reason why its is called SLICE OF LIFE blush

Although I have watched very few but they all were awesome. Here is the list ->

Series -
>

1 – Death Note (but I think it was a bit overrated cause ryuzaki or L was thinking as same as Light. But Good for 14+ age children.)

2 – Your Lie In April (currently on it so no comments)

Pending ( Naruto, Anohana, Clannad, Haikyuu, Tokyo Ghoul,Attack on Titan)

Movies —>

1 – Grave Of Fireflies
2 – Your Name
3 – Spirited Away
4 – Silent Voice
5 – I Want To Eat Your Pancreas
6 – The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
7 – The Garden Of Words
8 – Wolf Children
9 – 5 Centimeters Per Second

*List Is Not According To Likeness Just Random.

Pending (Weathering With You, Children Who Chase Lost Voice, Castle In The Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Princess Mononoke, The Wind Rises, Ponyo, Howl’s Moving Castle)

Edits Are Welcome sweat_smile

Don’t Forget Your Study/Office Work joy

Cheers !!!!!

Oh i have heard this name stuck_out_tongue

Just watch it & make sure to first watch the Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood & not older Full Metal Alchemist which is more serious/tragic(unless you like such stuff, it is also good but recommended not to watch them one after another as it kind of reduce the enjoyment) but also didn’t follow the source material(aka Manga) after a few initial episodes.

Also watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann which is probably the most “manly” anime(aka over-the-top action & dialogues but with a completely justifying style) in last 2 decades. Also do not do research/read comments/reviews because it will probably have spoilers, just download & start watching.

Steins Gate is good but if you want to watch a more serious & requiring more brain/philosophical version then watch Noein: To Your Other Self. Noein is closer to concepts of quantum mechanics than steins gate is to time travel.

You’ve pretty much watch some of the good animes.
Go through studio ghibli’s list. They’ve a wide range and some of the best stories of all time.
Also if you like comedy and slice of life, you can check out Slamdunk.
If you want to watch from supernatural, action, tragedy genre, then Darker than black, Tokyo ghoul are good too.

I saw fullmetal alchemist brotherhood on animax but wasn’t aware that the older fma wasn’t following the manga plotline 😮
I skipped the anime war based on it among fans on tumblr 😅
P.S. is anyone here a One Piece fan?

I saw “your name”, the animation is top notch but the plot wasn’t the best. There are better out there.
Twin star.. is this the one battling demons with magic? If thats the one, I think its for kids. I don’t think OP is a kid 😅

didn’t watch silent voice.. so no idea lol
and anime/manga has distinct classes for kids, teens and adults.
The genres are broadly divided into shonen, shoujo, seinen, josei
I enjoyed dragonball and naruto but now I can’t fangirl on similar animes 😅
If anyone like a serious slice of life, romance – do read The Curse of Spring. Or a bit with supernatural and history then – The Prince of Silk and Throne.
Also if you like yakuza house husband slice of life, read – Gokushufudou: The Way Of The House Husband Manga

I watched old FMA first years before I watched FMA:Brotherhood & that’s why I suggest people not to watch these two series close to each other in time. Old FMA is much more tragic in nature as it didn’t follow the manga after first few episodes but FMA:B is much more epic in scale & follows manga very closely. Both are good on their own if seen with a gap of at least year+ with preferably watching the older version first(watching good after tragedy is better than watching tragedy after good in my opinion). smile

Watched One Piece anime till end of Zou Island arc. Now waiting for Wano country arc to finish before deciding whether to watch whole cake island arc & others in one go or wait for more arcs.

I’ve not watched one piece since I followed naruto and bleach (the last one i regret). I’ve heard so much high praise for one piece, no other mangaka has so much praise and fan love like oda but the whole thing is so long, I’m afraid to see it. Don’t want to get addict to a long series again and its even longer than the other shonen series! How is that guy coming up with the plots for years??! 😅

That’s the reason One Piece is breaking records after records. I was also skeptical about how could such a long series maintain plot interesting enough but once I started watching it I finished ~700 episodes in one go(I didn’t watch filler episodes/arcs. you can check online which are those to skip them in advance). Also because of my habit of always watching the anime version with best translation I didn’t download the easily available one piece episodes which use official translation from crunchyroll but rather I downloaded the entire 700 episodes released by fansub groups from IRC xdcc bots as even torrents were not there. smile

700 episodes in one go!! Wow! is there really not one boring arc??
Did he sold hia soul to a devil to gain this power?? 😅
I always thought maybe one day when it ends I’ll give it a try but 700+ is too much for me.
Last year finished watching Mob psycho 100 S1 & S2 + manga it was satisfying. And its shorter, doesn’t hurt my eyes while binging 😁

Wait a second you guys are watching this much episode. I was afraid of Death Note when i started cause it has 37 episode but anyhow i finished. Then Mind Hunter (sorry hollywood again) 19 episode of 1 hour took me 2-3 weeks. And after seeing this i am too afraid to start naruto also sweat sweat sweat sweat

I think max episodes I binge watch was dragonball and dbz right after I finished my 10th exam. After that I felt like i fried my eyes before getting into college 😆
But don’t worry, most and esp newer anime shows don’t have so many episodes lol
See One punch man, Mob psycho 100, they’ve 11-12 episodes each season.
