You can take a look at brave browser or ad block browser. For blocking ads and trackers best would be firefox with ublock

Kiwi is by far the best performing browser in the 2GB variant of Redmi 3s. ARM32 version uses less memory. And while I don’t see the same discrepancy in Poco F1, in R3s there seems to be a big difference in battery life when using Kiwi and Chrome. In the latter battery tends to drop every 3-4 minutes but in the the former its 6-7 minutes on average. With uBlock Origin and few other essential extensions.
In F1 I do have Chrome, Samsung Browser, FF, Soul Browser etc installed for the few sites where Kiwi doesn’t work well.
Very battery friendly amongst full-fledged browsers and with extensions support one can customize the web to his/her liking. Also the UI is great for bottom handed navigation. Prior to Kiwi, Samsung Browser was my favorite. It’s still very good but not well suited to low RAM devices.
Edit: Use the GitHub version instead of Play Store if you aren’t already.

Use Via Browser (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=m...) light and ad blocker included, Really serves your purpose, I generally use this. Although I have Kiwi browser installed, I rarely use it (Really Rare) if some website behave abnormally..

Soul Browser is unbelievably smooth even in low end devices. Almost always 60 fps while scrolling. I tried it when Kiwi hadn’t received a single update in several months. I wouldn’t use it for any financial transactions though as off late I keep getting some unsafe page error a lot. https://cdn0.desidime.com/attachments/photos/656483/medium/Screenshot_20201223-181147792.jpg?1608727344
Other’s don’t seem to have this issue so maybe it’s something wrong at my end. Clicking on "Go to a safe page " immediately loads the intended page though.

Other than that there’s a ton of customization options, ad blocking filters etc. There’s a native option to disable images in case of a poor network or data constrained situation.
Plus very lightweight. Not quite in the league of Naked browser or Via or Lightning etc but they seem to be relying on WebView (baked into the Android OS) whereas Soul is based on Chromium. Also it’s a product of South Korea apparently.
Edit: Issue resolved. Problem at my end.

Turns out it was Ad Away that was the culprit. Pausing ad blocking temporarily caused the SSL errors to vanish. With a recent update of Ad Away, the same situation petsists in Amazon and IMDB apps whereas web versions load fine.
Emailed the developer of Soul a few minutes ago and he suggested ad blocking or any VPN might be conflicting.
