Somewhat in the lines of

But not like saw series which concentrates more on gore rather than psychological aspects.

My personal favorites:
El método (emphasizes that you need brains without heart to survive in the cruel world)
In Time (Time is Money)
El hoyo (perfect reflection of human greed and a classic method to prove that Poor will behave the same as rich once they get money)

Oh that type of movies yeah. Well Primer started it all I think. Way back in the 90s there was a movie with Jodie Foster (playing as daughter of that villain from Disturbia) and it was pretty good, forgot the name. Then there’s Predestination, Looper, Mullholland Drive etc. Coherence is one of the best low budget movie I have watched btw.

And obviously Tenet. HATE IT. Finally got the interrogation room scene though. Only took me 15 watches and 10 hours of youtube analysis.

I am also a fan of torture genre and watched almost all except 4 from your recommended films. Human centipede 1 is more terrifying as it shows the actual surgical procedure. Human centipede 2 is gross but not spine chilling except the last scene where pregnant woman escapes. Human centipede 3 is comedy version. When i first watched A Serbian film, I was shocked at a particular scene but after reading many crime stories in newspapers over the years, it’s no longer surprising, there are many such people out there.

Out of all torture movies salò is unique as the torture techniques also involved food. (Warning: don’t watch before or immediately after eating).
I like to add some more movies to this list
Audition 1999,
Red room 1999,
The corpse of anna fritz (not torture but these incidents do happen frequently in hospitals)
Grotesque 2009
I spit on your grave (many versions)

PS: I can watch this genre movies in a single go but still it’s not recommended if you are those persons who cry over emotional scenes in movies.

try this IMDB list.. suggestions include flicks where people are constrained to a location and a bit of mystery/thrill embedded in… guessing that’s exactly what you are looking for..

Watched most movies from this list but the list deviates a lot from my requirements. Movies like Room, Cast away, Don’t Breathe, The terminal, saw, House of wax, 12 angry men, identity, would you rather, the shallows, phone booth, the happening,  jumanji series, 1408, predators, Frozen, split, belong to a different category where Aliens or supernatural forces involved.

Good list though. plus1

TENET seemed like forced screenplay for the sake of complexity. I forgot a movie name which I watched long ago, a time travel based movie where a bunny masked guy appears randomly. I did not understand anything when I watched it back then.

Watched it, Liked it. Though it’s easy to guess what was happening, it is much better than 2hrs shitty movies. The director was attentive enough to not show Radhika on mobile screen when Manoj wasn’t looking at his mobile.
