I will suggest you to opt basic tv not Android, and buy additional stick/box (Android box).
Basic 32" will come somewhere between 7-10k, (ibought at 7800 i guess), stick /box will cost 3-5k.

Reason : -
1-normal tv has a higher life than Android/smart tv.
2- in Android tv u wont find smoothness,.
3- no software update
4- poor quality hardware which laggs too much
5- remote and other experiences are not above the expectation
6- Android one are pricy.

I have a 10 year old Panasonic vierra tv. It is half smart (semi smart). Like it can be connected to WiFi. But apps are not supported much.
Do you think an Android box will add significant value / benefits

Offcourse, it is always easy to upgrade stick/box then the tv it'self.

++Probably the best advice for OP.
I bought 32’ MI tv for my wfh small office room and I was regretting it everyday, the UI is awful slow apps, crashes on it’s own, while watching in full hd it lags a lot. Had to buy Firetv 3rd gen.
IMO here are the options:
1. Buy non-smart tv+Firetv or any other streaming box
2. Buy 32’ smart tv+ Firetv or any other streaming box.
I would suggest Fire TV since I’m using it on 3 of my tv’s ( 55’, Mi 32’ and Philips non smart tv 32’), the UI/Stability/Smoothness is very good. Recently, got Apple tv, for the price comparison Firetv is still value for money.
This should be your plan and make budget appropriately.
@kartikxxx thanks for your valuable suggestion. Please suggest best products as I feel my self as dump while evaluating electronic products.

go with any tv which is basic and coming under 8k, kotak, iffalcon, infinix, thompson, acer, karbon, hisense, croma, mi....all are basically same with same tv kit, so hardly matters, go with any brand u feel comfortable with and yes most imp, dont forget to add extended warrenty at the time of purchase it hardly cost 700rs for extra 3-4 year.
for firestick , let me know, i will share u the coupon and it will cost u around2800-3k.
ps - i bought 2 basic tvs , 1 is from noble skiodo, another is kodak, bost costed me somewhere around 7-8k. if u can't see this price, wait for some sale and card offer, u will easily get it. no matter how smart they become they will still be an idiot box so be wise and dont spend too much on tvs....
u may search some deals for tvs as well on dd to take an idea about offers , sale and best lowest price of that tv of all the time that way u can calculate how much money it costs.

So, which is the best VFM stick / box for 1080p TV? Fire Stick or Fire Stick Lite? Couldnt understand the differences.
@kartikxxx - LED only.

Difference lies under ram/hardware/features(remote /etc

Go for Firetv stick even if you’ve 720 TV, the performance is double as compared to lite, lite cost around 2k, fire tv 3rd gen will be around 2.8k or in sale 2.2k too. Ask someone in trading to sell times prime coupon if it’s urgent, you can get it for 2.8k. Forget lite.
Which city do you live in?

Called Jeff, he said in progress and tentative month is Sep-Oct. 3rd Gen is running flawless in 2023 though.
