Hi,
My cousin wants to gift his family an Air Fryer this season. Is it worth the money? Do we really need to add no oil? Any feedbacks? Any vfm brand? Can it replace a microwave/owen, read that some of them even come with grills. Also does it consume more electricity than a microwave/oven?

If you can get at throw away price then yes. Otherwise it’s out of fashion.
Rather gift a small 9 ltr otg for same price
Better to invest in a convection microwave than a airfryer. Airfryer comes with very low capacity. I have seen people just buy it for show and not use it. Not many functions it can provide. Convection microwave can do all the work one can think of.

Not sham. Just saying airfryer is not worth to invest today as convection microwave can do all that a airfryer will do and much more than that. No one wants to buy too many appliances and clutter the kitchen space.
Last it is upto you what you choose based on your budget.

It depends on recipe. Just search and Google particular recipe in a microwave convection and see whether particular recipe is there. And if your recipe doesn’t have one probably microwave won’t be able to cook that and if same is available in airfryer then definitely you got your answer there which one to choose.
