What is bypass charging
I was charged 1355Rs for Redmi note 7pro 4000Mah battery by service center. Don’t know why they are like 2K for Poco f1 battery is same in capacity (mah). You don’t have option other than getting original battery from service center. If go for fake battery, it won’t last more than a few months. The problem is service center doesn’t allow you to change the original battery yourself so extra charge like service charge is added which raise the price of the battery.
Yes that’s the problem. I did change my previous motorola battery aftermarket and died within 45 days. And the new mi battery price is 3k + gst and labour charges
i too need battery replacement for poco, thanks for thread and info about VBCFT
Let me know if you change it. Mine will go another 6months I guess.
My spare samsung J5 touch is not working after put on charging. Before that there was no signs of touch issue. tried factory reset but out of luck. What will be new display cost ??
Ideally you should create a new thread. Anyways check here https://www.samsung.com/in/support/spare-part-p...
This is absolutely scam by Xiaomi. Price mentioned for Poco F1 battery is Rs. 2999 on their website. LOL. Poco X3 Pro has bigger battery & priced at Rs. 1999. LOL.
Real price for 4000mAh battery is Rs. 799 + GST. That’s what they charge for Redmi 7A. They’re artificially raising prices for different models depending upon the price bracket.
Some folks had been successful in using the 5Ah battery from Asus Zenphone Max Pro M1. A little soldering skill is necessary. I am not sure how they managed to source the battery though. Another fellow on XDA had reported success with a 6Ah battery from some Samsung Mxx series. Again sourcing the battery seems anything but straightforward.
Nohon branded batteries on Aliexpress have a good reputation across several devices.
Much thanks for suggestions. Will give it a look. Otherwise will try to get a good exchange price in coming Big Billion sales !
Looking at the prices of Poco F1 battery, it seens like Xiaomi wants to deter consumers from opting for battery change and instead choose a new device. Samsung M30s 6000 Mah battery costs just 800 rs or so.
One TG user had bought a replacement battery from Cashify.
If you were planning on buying one for your Poco F1, now is not the time, since you will be losing your money on worthless product."
The same seller Shree Stores RPR has set up multiple product listings for VBCFT battery. The newer ones are reportedly not the genuine article.
@PandaLife
Edit: I can’t recommend VBCFT anymore.
Someone said do it from cashify as they charges only 1500 ₹ that includes everything. Seems good. Will update if I change in coming days
Service centre quoted 2k/2.5k don’t remember exactly. i didn’t want to spend more money on mobile repairs because of past experience with ASUS.
Anyways i replaced my poco battery a year ago in a mobile repair shop for 1k. i can say it is working fine till now but can see little difference in performance compared to original one.
The problem was back side of my mobile started getting fat. battery bulged out very much (couldn’t see it until the phone was dissembled) . if i had waited a few more days to visit the repair shop, that could have been my ending💥 💀💀. Even the repair guy was also in shock to see a poco F1 having this battery problem. Mine was his first case.
How’s kaeel battery and yes what is the brand name that manufacture xiaomi battery, right now which is the best battery for this device
Poco F1 battery is manufactured by Everup India.. kaeel might be selling the same.
Quoted 4k for rn7s battery by service centre (I was literally shocked).
Btw, how to measure the remaining battery capacity?
Accubattery is the one of the best in this regard. Quickest way is to charge from 1% to 100% in flight mode w/o using the phone. Otherwise in case of partial cycles it takes 10-15 sessions depending on the depth of discharge.
Even more accurate way is to use an external USB Power Tester preferably with the device switched off.
With root devices include a built-in counter which reads data from the kernel profile. Not in all devices and usually not linear.
MIUI off late shows battery capacity and cycle count without root.

Hi, If anyone had replaced battery from Cashify, share your experience and how is the sot now, is the battery original?
TIA😊
Just speculating but it seems reasonable to assume that Cashify might be selling batteries from the old units being sold to them. F1 batteries don’t seem to that good to begin with as they tend to lose capacity rather quickly. Maybe contact them to clarify it?

An XDA member has had a good experience with the above since the last couple of months.
@LIMBO Is there any other known good quality replacement options available? punctured the original battery with metal screwdriver in a hurry
Xiaomi is nuts. Accompanied by the massive all-round price hike is the recent availability of batteries for the ancient Redmi 1s, Mi4 and Redmi 2 which went OOS years ago!
yeah, the seller notiyal one with 1 year warranty. It didn’t even go through the second charge cycle. Replacement and refund were both available though. Soldering kit will be delivered today, will try mpm1 battery swap

Do note that a couple of dimers had reported earlier that the original MPM1 battery started swelling within 18 months. M20 battery is a rather tight fit.
i bought the asoss one , but my original refused to come out ( stuck with glue), since i didnt want to risk it, i replaced my battery 10 days ago via cashify.
And i was pleasantly surprised that the cashify battery is actually good.
Lets see how long it lasts.
I can replace this one with the asoss one later if needed.
ia cashify one an mi battery or random brand?

F1 isn’t listed but some users had reported apparently similar issues in F1 as well. Better to not drain the battery all the way down to zero to be on the safe side. I have been utilising bypass charging for over 8 months now with no issues. I don’t let the battery to drain below 20% in most cases. In F1 bypass charging works by default without any mods or whatever. Only issue was that it would kick in at 100% charge. Limiting voltage triggers it at lower charge levels. I don’t need to use ACC, BCL, Smart Charging etc.
Such issues were there even in years old devices like Moto G. I guess it’s related to the battery protection feature wherein the BMS doesn’t allow the battery to charge under certain circumstances if it drains to zero. Don’t understand what role these battery charging mods play in this.
Finally SAFA battery for F1 is back in stock. Hopefully VBCFT follows suit.
Regarding the official battery a dimer had reported that the service centers are now quoting the updated price albeit Rs 5.5k instead of Rs 6.4k that I had estimated.
thanks for update.!
Change the battery today with Cashify paid 1250 (technician home visit), Lets see how it goes. Xiaomi was charging around Rs.5000
Which brand battery they are providing?
I forgot to check, but for sure MI was not mentioned on the battery.
I don’t know what has become of the recently announced self-repair program by Xiaomi. That would help save a significant amount in labour charges and to a lesser extent in GST. Probably the Xiaomi Service+ app is the first step in that direction.
is it started already? I have no idea about it
I think fast charging capability may be one of the reason for higher price than a similar capacity non-fast charging battery.
7A doesn’t support fast charging. Poco F1 does
There are several others that support much higher charging speeds and are higher capacity to boot. It’s a measly 18W after all. For ex. Poco X3 Pro with its 5Ah battery and 33W charging costs Rs 2.75k. F1 costs comfortably over 2×. Or the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max which costs less than one-fourth! Let’s not even get into a comparison with other brands.
Xiaomi saw an opportunity to extort as most F1 users were looking to buy a battery replacement after 3 years. The Chinese excel in it if nothing else.
Have you enquired with LG service centers? Unfortunately due to the Aliexpress ban that is off the table. Nothing in XDA. Only option seems to be eBAY or check TG and YT for local on/offline options.
Edit: Maybe try escalating it to the CEO.

Maybe it can be of help. I haven’t checked in detail though. @Total_Fun
You ought to create a new thread for better visibility if nothing else.
@Limbo got safa battery delivered yesterday. pretty decent 5 hr sot with 15% to spare.
quick question, at what voltage does your poco drop to 0% battery? I’ll try to get accubattery stats in a few days
I don’t remember it ever draining to zero! Even below 20% is quite rare. Lowest I could see in the last few weeks was 15% @ 3.65V. So maybe a little below 3.6V for zero percent? The battery voltages off late are all over the place. Perhaps a degrading battery and/or calibration is necessary.
P.S. Safa for MPM1 or F1?
