Service center charges totally amount to Rs 2.75k. VBCFT brand battery on Amazon or SAFA brand on Flipkart are supposedly rebrands of those made by Everup which is the OEM for Xiaomi India batteries. A few TG users have reported decent results with VBCFT. It used to retail for Rs 999 regularly but since the last month or so its price has been hiked to Rs 1199.
Thanks to bypass charging I have postponed the need for a replacement battery for at least another year if not more. Battery capacity had fallen below 80% in the first 20 months.

Hey 👋
Can anyone of you suggest a good battery replacement for poco F1 .. as the service center charges almost 2000₹ .
Will do the replacement myself but need a good battery.
What’s your say?
I was charged 1355Rs for Redmi note 7pro 4000Mah battery by service center. Don’t know why they are like 2K for Poco f1 battery is same in capacity (mah). You don’t have option other than getting original battery from service center. If go for fake battery, it won’t last more than a few months. The problem is service center doesn’t allow you to change the original battery yourself so extra charge like service charge is added which raise the price of the battery.
i too need battery replacement for poco, thanks for thread and info about VBCFT
My spare samsung J5 touch is not working after put on charging. Before that there was no signs of touch issue. tried factory reset but out of luck. What will be new display cost ??

New price of battery is 2,999 @ mi service center. Including labour and gst it will go 4000₹ for sure.

Yes that’s the problem. I did change my previous motorola battery aftermarket and died within 45 days. And the new mi battery price is 3k + gst and labour charges

Will cost anywhere from 1200 to 2k. In Market. Samsung might cost around 5k

Let me know if you change it. Mine will go another 6months I guess.
This is absolutely scam by Xiaomi. Price mentioned for Poco F1 battery is Rs. 2999 on their website. LOL. Poco X3 Pro has bigger battery & priced at Rs. 1999. LOL.
Real price for 4000mAh battery is Rs. 799 + GST. That’s what they charge for Redmi 7A. They’re artificially raising prices for different models depending upon the price bracket.

Damn! 1k increase. I had invested in a Rs 200 odd, 2m USB-C cable so that the device could placed at the window where downloading speeds were the best and still reach the nearest power socket. Afterwards I managed to enable bypass charging and the extended reach afforded by the cable has come in very handy indoors. Only 24 battery cycles in over 3 months despite very heavy usage. Otherwise it would have been well over 100. Eagerly waiting to see if the battery capacity still degrades by another 10%, after 10 months or so corresponding to 300 battery cycles which has been the norm so far. Right now still getting 10-11 hrs SoT in my use cases.
Edit: A TG user confirmed that he was charged Rs 4k for a replacement done a few days ago.
Some folks had been successful in using the 5Ah battery from Asus Zenphone Max Pro M1. A little soldering skill is necessary. I am not sure how they managed to source the battery though. Another fellow on XDA had reported success with a 6Ah battery from some Samsung Mxx series. Again sourcing the battery seems anything but straightforward.
Nohon branded batteries on Aliexpress have a good reputation across several devices.
Looking at the prices of Poco F1 battery, it seens like Xiaomi wants to deter consumers from opting for battery change and instead choose a new device. Samsung M30s 6000 Mah battery costs just 800 rs or so.

One TG user had bought a replacement battery from Cashify.
If you were planning on buying one for your Poco F1, now is not the time, since you will be losing your money on worthless product."
The same seller Shree Stores RPR has set up multiple product listings for VBCFT battery. The newer ones are reportedly not the genuine article.
@PandaLife
Edit: I can’t recommend VBCFT anymore.
Service centre quoted 2k/2.5k don’t remember exactly. i didn’t want to spend more money on mobile repairs because of past experience with ASUS.
Anyways i replaced my poco battery a year ago in a mobile repair shop for 1k. i can say it is working fine till now but can see little difference in performance compared to original one.
The problem was back side of my mobile started getting fat. battery bulged out very much (couldn’t see it until the phone was dissembled) . if i had waited a few more days to visit the repair shop, that could have been my ending💥 💀💀. Even the repair guy was also in shock to see a poco F1 having this battery problem. Mine was his first case.
northinfoline644 wrote:yes bro checked with shops nearby. price range varies between 1k-1500. Is it safe to use these non branded display? Phone usage is mainly for calls so display might get heat up and dead slowly
I did change my touchpad 6 months back. Cost around 1200 for poco f1. Shop owner also gave me 3months warranty. so far no issues. Sometimes it misses but that’s very rare.. go for it

Much thanks for suggestions. Will give it a look. Otherwise will try to get a good exchange price in coming Big Billion sales !

A report from a Poco F1 TG channel "Based on many user reports, it has been observed that the standard #batteryreplacement that was placed across various Poco F1 groups is now a scam since the seller (VBCFT) ran out of his stock so he’s milking his user base with a fraudulent battery. If you were planning on buying one for your Poco F1, now is not the time, since you will be losing your money on worthless product." I think it was referencing the latter.

Someone said do it from cashify as they charges only 1500 ₹ that includes everything. Seems good. Will update if I change in coming days

thanks bro, will get it done this week . I was thinking for buying new spare phone but ur comment helped out very much.

Is your device rooted? If yes I can provide the details. So many times I have wasted time in typing it all up only for folks to say they don’t want to root! At other times they balk at having to plug it in. WTH? Bypass charging is no miracle. It helps to take the load off the battery whenever feasible.

I am planning to change RN4 battery from mi service centre. Cost mentioned is 1k for battery + Service charge 350 + gst on both. Will be around 1600 including gst
Cashify is giving battery replacement for 1250. So which one mi centre vs cashify?
Or should try somewhere else?
