Hello Guys,

I am thinking of getting fitness band as we need to know vital health readings nowadays.
After getting detected covid positive I feel its better to have one small device rather than many ( BP monitor, temperature gun, oximeter). Dedicated instruments may be more accurate but having always accessible all in one device is good.

I do not like watches , haven’t wore watch since I got my first mobile back in 2003. So big ,bulky watches are not for me.

In fitness bands I have following requirements:

1) HR sensor
2) SpO2 sensor
3) Sleep tracking
4) Reliability, no service issues
5) Comfortable for long term usage

So I shortlisted following :

1) Honor Band 5
2) OnePlus Band
3) covisense s5
4) Oppo smart Band

I do not want to spend more than 4k , also Samsung fit 2 was decent much misses on SpO2 sensor.

Please suggest based on your experience.

My first HB5 is nearing 2 years with no issues. SpO2 monitoring is a bit hit-and-miss if worn on the wrist. But works reliably if measured at the fingertips like dedicated oxymeters. Happy enough that I bought another HB5 for my mother about a year back. Sleep tracking, HR monitoring, exercise modes have been pretty reliable from the beginning. Although for greater accuracy while exercising it has to be worn about an inch lower on the wrist. In certain exercises I still feel the measured HR is a little lower than what I expect. Good enough I guess.

Thanks for sharing.
I had doubt regarding HB5 that it has been launched 2 years ago also honor, Huawei has almost shut shop in India.
Does this affect our daily use , after sales service?
This is only concern i have with HB5.

After checking few reviews , I am more inclined towards Oppo Smart band.

OnePlus is also not bad.

I really liked Samsung Fit 2 but not having SpO2 is problem.

As I have posted above, I bought Oppo Band.
Battery life when HR and SpO2 set to always on is hardly 2 days.
Also battery didn’t get charged to full 100% , it was always 98-99%.

Returned it for full refund.

Then bought OnePlus Band , battery life slightly improved to 3 days almost.
Battery charging was also 100% but used to get stuck at 95% then need to remove charging and put again.

Returned this one also.

Overall both these bands are good if you are ok with battery of 2-3 days Vs claim of 12-14 days by companies and 7-8 days by tech reviewers.

I dont think ANY band will give 10+ days battery life with continuous HR and O2 monitoring.

At that price it’s great. But do not expect battery more than 3 days.
