Looking for firsthand experience sharing for Steamer (or Nebulizer, if it’s for relief from nose congestion, sore throat and cough), like:

  • Which brand are you using?
  • The price range.
  • What’s the feedback/review as per your experience?

Need it especially for kid, but better if it can be used for adults too.

Thanks in advance.

P.s: @FighterMan @Akansha_B Look into it if you can write an Article or Product Buyers’ Guide along with a few product recommendations.

I have been using the “Omron NE C28 Compressor Nebulizer For Child and Adult” for years now. I bought it for Rs 1999 from Flipkart in 2013. It has been going strong and still works without glitches as of today. It comes with two masks – one for children and one for adults. I had even taken this to my trip to the USA. However, I discovered there that it does not work on 110V even though it says support for voltage from 110V to 240V. It’s a little bit noisy though. I used to turn on a video on mobile to distract my child while giving the nebulization to her. Cleaning the parts is very easy. All the components can be disassembled easily to wash with normal tap water and put back again after each use.

Thanks for sharing your review. Are you using it even without medication, as a steamer for nose congestion and sore throat?

Nebuliser is not a steamer. It just converts the liquid medicine into mist. I use it only with liquid medicine. Budecort resumes is the most common medicine prescribed to be used in nebuliser. Once or twice I had used plain saline water available in medicine store but it was not that effective. I and family use Dr. Trust Vapouriser / Steamer for inhaling steam to help relieve nasal congestion during common cold.
