This has been happening to most of us now, now kick your furniture or shake your head, nothing gonna happen, start used to this bullying from the worlds of Swiggy and Zomato. I raised this 6 months back and followed up on Twitter, emails but to no avail, there is a change in policy. Still, try if you have time to waste on these morons or forget about ordering online.

I have placed swiggy Instamart and order Amul cold coffee and Amul ice cream
I got coffee hot and ice cream melted
I have raise the issue with CC they are saying will share the feedback no compensation or refund
When I said to take back product they are saying you want to keep with you keep or else dispose but we will not refund or compensate
What kind of this behaviour means in future they send anything we have to keep it?
I want to know which ministry or minister look food delivery related issues I want to tag on Twitter
If they compensate they loose money, if they dont they lose customer hence money. They r in loss for everything . greatest loss making company . RIP to the investors
For grocery I am using bigbasket from 5 months and never faced any issues till yet. Once the returned the product other times they just refunded the amount without any issues.

Swiggy never sends ice boxes , i dont know why they have even listed frozen items on their platform, they expect customer to save his own money by not ordering.

Most products sold are on or near Mrp than other online stores , thsn handling , shipping etc charges . Even than we should consider them loss making companies after all sorts of loot from customers.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I request you not to waste your time. Once I ordered farsan from Haldirams for my aunt using Swiggy. I had ordered 8 packets, but my aunt received just two. Even though my smart aunt had taken an 'unboxing' video, Swiggy refused to give refund. One Swiggy executive insinuated that the video was not authentic! I even reached out to Haldirams, unsurprisingly, they washed their hands of it.

I ordered few days back from kwality walls in zomato, they gave ice pack.
But zomato cc has also turned into Big on apology and small on compensation. I ordered a cake worth 700 after discount, but the cake got damaged about 35% area, but they made a big apology and compensated with coupon worth 100, they said we will pass on the feedback and guess what, I ordered after a few days, the cake got damaged again. This time I checked while delivery guy was present, he asked me to contact cc and same response
I have been there in this thing since last 14 years. I have seen things going off gradually. Discount era and customer is supreme era is going to be end soon.
i got refund of 30 just now for aml frostik as it was melted, shared them pic for melted icecream.
@Venom14 try taking pic of melted icecreams and upload on twitter and tag swiggy and zomato
I am also facing the same issue with ice creams. The people packing the items should have some sense. Ice creams should be packed only when delivery partner arrives for pickup.

You guys are scaring me, I order a lot from Swiggy instamart, average 400-500 15-20 orders every month and every time I get something missed in my order or damage products they politely refund. Last refund was last week where they missed 2 pouches of Milk.
I hope ONDC destroys them Completely like UPI and RuPay did to VISA/MasterCard. The government is behind it so I am pretty confident about it! After Some Years 4-6 we will be Ordering from ONDC like Shopping,Foods, Grocery etc and by that time there will be some Authorities Person who will handle such type of Mistakes/Scam OP has faced

It depends, if you buy from expensive chains, they will put dry ice. If you place from generic chains where cheap icecream is available then it will melt.

I was referring to instamart bro, otherwise it would depend on the restaurant.
Still, majority of restaurants don't send any protection for cold items.

Mostly it's not Swiggy which is managing the stock. Quality and packaging is the responsibility of the restaurant/Instamart franchisees. Swiggy can manage only the delivery partners. Since most of the food items are served hot, delivery vehicles are equipped only with a insulated case.
Never faced any problem while ordering ice creams both from Swiggy and Zomato.
Handling of hot & cold items in the same order are a rare occasion which can create problems
Faced the same with Dunzo, I ordered an Amul lassi but it was tampered with and was leaking but these mfs refused to refund
Now fast forward two months later almost all dunzo daily grocery marts even in a tier 1 metro city Bengaluru have shut down.
No wonder with such pathetic services they incur such losses and shut down.
