I booked tata tiago.ev at introductory price but now
I'm confused to buy it or go for CNG. I saw many videos in YouTube and it makes me more confused.
My daily travel would be approx. 60 to 65 KM in Hyderabad city. So, I believed EV would be great choice, but my friends suggest me to for CNG. I’m totally confused as I never had car before.
Already paid 21k booking amount.

@deb3l @MJ911 @Rosh_0007 Sirs.. kindly check if this can be moved.
Thank you for your time on this.
no
With or without loan?
current ev owner may answer better. i do not advise for this
Do you have place to setup charging point ? If yes go for EV.
Personally I would avoid CNG (Restricted Boot, long lines at Punp, limited pumps, it's not cheap this days ).
It is a great buy for someone who stays inside the city only for 90% of the year. Range should be considered as 200km. CNG is getting costly these days. No use of that.
Tiago EV is purely a city car with its smaller battery. As others pointed, charging infra is fast improving on highways but sad part is Tata fast chargers are the most unreliable. Other chargers from lion, Fortum, Zeon are lot more reliable.
if 99% of your drive is in city then EV is perfect. Once you get used to an EV you just can’t drive and ICE car in similar price range. Driving an EV is such a pleasant experience.
.
just ensure you have proper charging infra at home. You need spare 5 KW sanction load apart from what’s being already used at home. Good earthing and a heavy duty stabiliser.
Why are tata chargers unreliable?
In my city CNG is 92.xx, Diesel is 84.xx and Petrol is 96.xx
I would prefer ev if I have the budget and getting one at right price
Go for Tiago EV, its an excellent product
U can expect actual range of the vehicle by deducting 30% from claimed range. Here tata claims 250 kms for 20KW variant, so expect around 175 then deduct about 7.5% for battery degradation by next 2 years(based on tesla and other ev, degradation is not happening much after 2 years and considering tata is using LFP batteries, u need not worry about degradation/battery replacement), range reduced to 162kms. For me anything above 150kms is more than sufficient in city/outskirts. If u can setup solar, then ev is the best
Pay 10 lakhs and enjoy decade long free rides!!
But tell us, what is exactly holding u back from buying an ev.
But according to me if you are spending 10L in a car.. you don't want to limit yourself to a city.. you want to go on a short trip.. this car won't work in that case.. you might feel helpless..
@Coupon_King Suggest getting a test drive of all the cars you have shortlisted for 30 km to 35km each car and then decide.
@Coupon_King provided 60 to 65 KM daily run, your annual run would be 20k KM... in 8 years, you would cover 1.6 lac which is almost same as warranty (1.6 lac/8 year) provided by TATA.
Anyone from Gujarat who is purchasing Tiago.ev . Dealer told me 1.5 lac state government is only available for LR (24.2 kW) not MR (19.2 kW) model.
Guess this is posted in political section?
