Sangareddy: A software techie, who recently lost Rs 12 lakh to cyber fraudsters, was found hanging on Wednesday in Sangareddy district.
According to the police, Jadavath Aravind (30), a native of Bommareddy Gudem in Sangareddy, had accessed a link he got on Telegram app, and initially invested Rs.200. When he successfully completed a task, he got Rs.250 in return. He then invested more, but ended up losing Rs 12 lakh that his parents saved for his sister’s marriage, which was fixed to be held on May 5.
Though Aravind pleaded with the fraudsters to return his money, as per a chat found on his Telegram app, they refused. The techie, who got married just three months ago, was found hanging at his Sangareddy residence on Wednesday afternoon.
Sangareddy Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Om Shanti

These scammers should be hanged in public...only then some fear will be there in other scammers in the market...thats enough of their wrongdoings
Tough law is required
married just 3 months ago.. and sister marriage next month...so sad phase must be going on in the whole family. And his newly married wife ..in very sad situation. just greed is the only reason, hard earned money will only stay forever.

Police only good for making trouble for common people , for politicians, criminal and fraudsters they are friend, can you believe Olympian protesting for around 4 months and today police has the guts to file an FIR
If common people know where scam happen but what's the point of making complain to police if they just gonna sit..
Meanwhile RIP to this guy , hope scammer get the hell life and of course no shortcut to making money
One of the saddest news i have read in the recent past. Just thinking about the entire family - his wife, his parents, his sister, brings sadness. Just imagine how he could have supported his family in future 😞

Sadly this is so true and reality of every other Indian state. Police, politicians and criminals go hand in hand otherwise massive online scams won't happen at this scale😔
Feeling sad for what happened

Human greed has no limit, no matter how much you earn nothing just satisfies people greed these days

Can the banks and police actually retrieve the money? Can a dimer who works in the banking sector share their opinion?

I don't understand how many more people have to be sacrificed for the Govt to wake up they're still in the 2000s
Age old Education system
Sky high taxes
Rocketing inflation
Miniscule development
Corruption in every single field.
High unemployment
Priority only to SC/Sts and backward classes for vote bank.
No wonder even slightly educated people want to go overseas.
I won't even be surprised if it is these so called Banks or telecoms who are selling our personal info to scamsters for money.
I have a number that isn't enrolled anywhere no social media nothing yet I keep receiving this earn xxxxx amount daily WFM just send a whatsapp/telegram message etc.
sad ...

Noone is part of this scam, but due to shortage of police/bank staff if they start focusing on this loot who will do their main task which is law and order and money lending/borrowing
We'll technically he has himself sent the money on his own will, so there's no roll of Bank in this. Imagine the level of inconvenience caused if people start claiming there own transactions as fraud.
Mai hamesa sochta hu ki private cyber crime investigation startups companies ka idea kisi ko kyun nahi aate hai.😯😯
I mean koi aisa private startup companies aaye jo govt, cyber police k sath mil kar kam kare.
Badle me 5% to 10% fraud amount ka victim se liya kare woh bhi Installment ya EMI par.
Aur govt bhi fund kare us startup company par, ajkal already govt funds kar he raha hai bahot se Indian startup companies me.
Sirf itna he nahi, woh private company govt k sath mil kar acha cyber security and cyber law k uppar acha khasa focus kare taki fraud krne wale ko jaldi se bail na mile and 7 to 10 years tak k jail ho.

It's not that easy. Even youtubers work hard.
Very sad that he chose to end his life, but in this day and age, anyone "investing" or sending large sums of money to some unknown entity that's not even regulated by law or recognized should be a major red alert.

Its not that easy.
The scammers transfer money multiple times before finally withdrawing it or using it for some online purchases (which are dead ends with almost zero tracking).
Most bank accounts involved here belong to dead people / poor illiterate people who sell their data for few hundreds.
The truth is that we are a big country with so many issues, and have not yet solved many of the basic ones. This case doesn't have much to do with cyber security, it's a financial fraud which keeps happening now and then.

The data is already on sale on hidden web, we(poor/illeterate) are not selling, they are selling (corrupted employees of respective companies for their personal gain), you can't extract details of bank related easily from illiterate people ( they asks thousands of questions) .... Corruption & greed are main cause here.
how they're getting numbers & Targeting exact vulnerable people?
Might not it be a DATA leak!?

Data leaks also form a source of the info bro. But people are actually selling their data willingly.
I often see advertisements where people pay 5% for receiving money in your bank account. Free 500 rupees on opening bank account (on roadside).

what not easy..I saw hundreds of youtubers from my state alone earned 50 L-1 CR during pandemic. I am a software engg from NIT and have 10 years experience but not seen 1 CR in my bank balance.

You saw hundreds of them earn in lakhs or crores but what about the total number of youtubers in your state?
I am not a youtuber but i believe that it is not so easy being a youtuber.
