guys, i am currently unemployed.
I thought about what life would be like if I become a farmer.
important note:- i will never take loans. I have been reading since my childhood that "the farmer committed suicide because he was unable to repay the loan amount due to losses in farming"
There are some queries.
1) what is the minimum investment amount to become a farmer?
2) what are the advantages & disadvantages if i become a farmer?
3) how can i protect my farm from floods?
4) please suggest a crop that is very easy for cultivation and profitable?

Op, just do one thing.....
Go to any farm near your town after 8pm alone. Spend one hour there. If you come back home without any fear of snakes/dogs/ghosts/thief/other , then start gaining knowledge about farming.

Try googling microgreens. Sweet spot is where how quickly you can sell it to the right customers, without offering hefty cuts to middlemen. Microgreens not going to make you rich rich as the market is still small.

Many of my relatives are farmers and many of them earning good. just they take care of what to grow and when to harvesting. Ex. don't grow what all people are growing because you will not get right price.
Also some are directly related to company like Lays. They do farming as suggested by Lays and Lays purchases all production.they gives good rate.
Positive point is if you got handsome income from farming, you have to pay 0 income tax...

If you are considering farming only because of unemployment, other option could be you join some institute which provide skill development free of cost (ex : http://www.ambujacementfoundatio...g/ )
With skill like Ac/freeze servicing, Automobile etc, you can earn good income. there is very shortage of such skilled people. you can earn easily ~50k (and more) month after 1-2yr practice.
May be any institute can provide you agricultural skill.

before going in fully. try under some farmer at his field for few weeks and see if will really be able to do it. u can learn and also u will know whether u will really be able to do it.
