First my Flipkart app stopped in my device and now even paytm is not working. Was getting error unfortunately your app stopped .so i cleared cache and also data , but it didnāt work, so unistalled the app and tried to redownload from playstore but in vain could not find the app itself there.
Using samsung J 2 and also J 7 with version android marshmallow (now stupid fellow 
)
This apps want us to buy new version phones without improving there pathetic services.
Any way out to overcome it .

Amazon has disabled nougat too on my Redmi 4.
Had to find an older apk and install but has many features disabled. So app is only used for price compare.

I am using Samsung j3 Pro (SM-J320F) which runs on Lollipop 5.1.1 version. I receive regular updates from paytm. But a long time ago, Flipkart and Amazon said goodbye to the lollipop version. I uninstalled the Amazon app but Iām using the older version of the Flipkart app that was installed from the Play Store a long time ago. currently no issues from paytm app & flipkart app.
update:- paytm also discontinued supporting lollipop 
Paytm app still working in my Android 5.0 lollipop phone.

I update as i notice new update availability maybe sometimes late but i update . Last month In one mobile flipkart was not opening so i cleared all cache and data and when that also not worked i deleted it to redownload , but now not available in play store for my device.
Same model other mobile its working but dont know how long.
Paytm wallethad bal. Of 400 which i am not able to transfer to other paytm wallet in webpage only can recharge but cannot trf from 1 wallet to other wallet

5 inch screen very practice for me since its 1 hand operation.
The phone is light and mounts on gimbal.
Mounts easily on bike handle bar mount.
Doesnāt weigh like a brick while in pocket as all current phones.
Suggest a phone with similar specs SD processor and IPS display.
Recently YONO sent an email that itās time for an upgrade as Google has stopped releasing security patches for Android 8. So only A9 and above are supported.
Marshmallow is not supported by the original vendor, Google, anymore, and is vulnerable to all kinds of exploits on the overall ecosystem, and the individual apps themselves, especially which require connectivity, require storage and can make calls / SMS. If there is a major breach and people still running such apps older phones get affected, again people will complain. Thereās not a lot that app publishers can do here, they cannot take responsibly of being completely secure when the ecosystem is itself now not supported.

You can either get a new phone, replacements for phones like J2 etc should not be very expensive, or load a better ROM for these phones.
You can try sideloading a modded version of these apps but that can be a risky approach if the mod itself is sourced from a dodgy place.
