I currently have mtnl, which gives good stability, but even its highest plan in my area comes with only 16mbps speed cry . So, need to shift to different ISP.
I am willing to spend around 1500 rs, So shall I go with tikona(60 mbps/UL) or go for jio fiber
( gold plan), as it includes STB.
My requirement is just stable and decent speed (around 30mbps).
Any personal experiences with either of them is welcome.

AREA- Panvel,Navi Mumbai

any specific reason to have Tikona as an option?
they aren’t wired and let’s not even get into their signal stability or the (lack of) service standards.
i’ve some recollection of a netcafe person telling us why he preferred to take a connection via local dealer than directly with Hathway or In2cable.
his
his premise was that local thugs/goons graduated to take up satellite TV distribution and later
internet distribution and last mile maintenance.
needless to say, some were closely affiliated with “a certain” notoriously terroristy local political party.
so, he rather kept them in good mood than to save basic costs, but loose time and money in case frequently the wires/fibre gets cut. (by “unknown” elements).
if
if MTNL is stable and limited downtime, then check if they can give FTTH at discounts (they did do so once upon, if given the bait of 15-20 new custs in the same complex).
m
have not much idea of Jio fibre there but the new local (Navin Mumbai centric) companies after Hathaway, in2cable are better in custw service and pricing (even if they too saluted to the now no more Hriday Somerat).

Tikona provides the worst service. Dont even think of buying one.
Better go for other local providers or jio.

Do Check Local BB Providers. Also Check Speed If Someone Is Using JioFibre Is Already Using It In Your Area.

As some one above said, Check if MTNL/BSNL can provide FTTH..
Personal exp:
Tiokna worst (Area: Pune), Few Years back we had it, You never get actual speed, No Consistency, Calling Customer care is Nightmare, You need to wait n wait n wait, and they cut the call before speaking.. You cannot even close the connection.. They just dont accept your close request.. Even if they say they have closed your connection.. They need to take back device which they install.. No one comes to you to take back.. and after few months they will call and say they will take legal action..Google it, You can read stories for days..( JUST AVOID.. I dont know their present condition..
But I felt We(customer) dont deserve that type of treatment.

Jio Fibre (Area:Hyderabad and other areas): Good & Consistent (Talking about Free Days, still in dilema of taking Paid Plans)
Consistent Speed, Proper Customer Care, Faced minimal problems(2-3 mins downtime which resolved on own) I think they were issues which were caused due to testing..

Final word, Just Erase Tiokna from your mind. see I erased it, I dont even know their spelling.

Don’t you have BSNL or ACT fibre in your place? Also please remember stability is much more important than sheer inconsistent speed, and another important thing to keep in mind the true unlimited usage factor.
