I was given RuPay Contactless Platinum Debit Card (2nd/middle one in your pic).

As mentioned by you, issuance free/first 2 years free, then ₹250+GST=₹295. Only downside of bank is account closure charges of ₹500+GST (₹590) so can make it 0 balance and forget about it if ever need to close.

A gentle reminder that this is NOT a small finance bank, and of course not a full-service bank. So research extensively before putting money in the account.

Hey this bank is also on my "bank road" in Vile Parle East, Mumbai also known as Nehru road. 😂 It has around 20-25 banks (too many to count) - some unknown ones also like Rupee Cooperative Bank. Ek hi road pe sab hai - SBI, HDFC, IDFC First, IndusInd, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, Canara Bank, UCO Bank, Indian Bank, Federal Bank, Kotak Mahindra, RBL Bank, Yes Bank, Saraswat Bank, ICICI, Punjab National Bank, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank and TJSB 😄

Makes it easy to open and close several accounts on 1 day. 🤣

Some information I would like to add about TJSB: they charge account closure charges of ₹500 even after more than a year. Means once you open an account there and you want to close it, they will charge ₹500.

Is there a way to avoid these? If the RuPay offer ends, what if we withdraw all the required-to-maintain minimum balance from there and not pay any closure charges? Let them freeze or close the account?

Found after my extensive research that Yes Bank, IDBI, TJSB, Jana are among the greedier ones with account closing charges even after 1 year of ₹500+GST.😱

The Bank that can't issue debit cards for months/years due to chip shortage, i.e. Indian Bank has ₹300 closure charges. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Canara Bank has ₹100-₹250 (depending on cheque book availed or not)

ALL OTHER mainstream PSU AND PRIVATE BANKS have 0 account closing charges if account closed after 1 year. (Some small finance and co-operative ones do have I think e.g. Fincare, etc).

So just to confirm debit card arrives at home address? Only to activate it we need to visit home branch ATM?

Mine arrived at branch.. both DC and CB.. during account opening there was option of delivery at communication address but branch official ticked delivery at branch.. when I asked why - they told I have to visit for card activation at home branch ATM and also passbook will be issued that day.. since a visit is mandatory, they said they will mark delivery at branch..

What's the problem ? card otp page is not open ?

Delete your saved card on Amazon and re-add try.

If otp page still not open then retry 4-5 times or try after some time.

Yes, next time remember this thing.

There is some problem with saved card tokenization, most of the time card otp page is not open.

Just delete the saved card and use again or next time use without save your card.
