Toshiba TV Horrible customer care

So I bought a toshiba tv from Amazon last year and at the start  of the month their OTA upgrade failed(I tried to skip that but they have made it mandatory)and post that tv went into a restart loop

I called up customer care and the technician came in after 2 days and told me motherboard needs to be replaced since it might have been corrupted, and that he would put in the request for a new part . i waited for a week & then reached out to cs only to be told that the replacement part was shipped out immediately post technician visit but no updates as to whom it was sent or any tracking ID,, so the whole thing seems to be shady.

Now it's been almost a month and cs gives the same reply every day that they have escalated it to the senior team and they would have an update in 24 hours. I am at my wits end on what to do now, I have already emailed their escalation matrix with the ticket details but no revert on this so far. looks.like the entire toshiba tv india(hisense) setup is a complete joke, if this is how they process in warranty complaints imagine the plight of out of warranty claims.


If anyone has any ideas on this do let me know,Thanks.

Oh god. I also bought Toshiba TV last month only. Which model you have & where do you live ?
I bought 65M550MP & live in New Delhi .
I havent faced any issue though ..

Mine is 55inch model & I am from Mumbai, I just had a look at hifivision and the numerous posts there have talked about  the horrible after sales support of toshiba(hisense)

Quality comes at a price. Don't buy cheap electronics. You will be on the edge of luck when there is a repair. This is a suggestion for others.

I finally managed to get my motherboard replaced and got tv working exactly after a month.

Here's what I did & might work for someone else.

During purchase make sure you buy extended warranty from either amazon or flipkart, i think this is what helped me since i had an extended warranty from amazon.

Toshiba cs was useless,lying with updates and making all excuses so i escalated this to amazon and they asked me to share the details and opened up an investigation,  soon toshiba cs became proactive & finally they send over the technician to replace the part within a week, my only regret is that i did not reach out to amazon earlier, this would have solved my issue lot faster.
