Instead buy a ₹13-14K smartphone and spend an extra thousand or two on a good spigen, otterbox, etc. case

Nowadays smartphones are very delicate, only way is to buy a good quality tempered glass and shock proof back cover. These will also not protect very much. Also, phone will look ugly and thick after applying shock proof cover. My own phone survived 4-5 times from a good height, atlast screen shattered. screen broken from inside but tempered glass remained intact.

Tempered glass won’t break but screen will break….. Tempered glass is useless

Why to give smartphones to kids? I don’t know what’s the use of it for them? If study is the purpose, just give your phone to them. That’s it. Physical activities are much important. 🙂

Use bumper case
It’s edges are little above the screen so even if phone falls screen won’t touch the ground

Nokia Tough 800 (Its Kai OS phone, may not be considered as Smart by few) No first hand experience as well. But its a rugged phone from Nokia with 4G.

Or else buy some smart phone with Rhinoshield case (They are costly, really costly) you can watch some youtube videos on same..
I use their bumper case on my Phone and till now its good.

I used Redmi1s for 4 years, it was very strong phone, i must have dropped it 50 times, but it never broke . Now a days no one makes such phone.
