Just curious…How many of you guys are doing trading for living?
I’m somewhat noob in this area (from practical standpoint not theoretical though!)
Just thought to make a thread after recent discussions on SBI Card IPO stuff on DD.
It will be helpful if you share your perspective on trading for living! TIA

The pursuit of happiness is a most ridiculous phrase: if you pursue happiness you’ll never find it.
I believe many here do that and a lot more do the same in reality too. It’s a normal business/ profession. Why curious? May I know?
Yeah sure, just thought to get some opinions. I might some day will have to go through this…so just made a thread to get a sense of how many here are trading etc and are they satisfied with what they do?
I do. But it’s a side hustle for me. Not full time that’s why I don’t do intra trade.

Just tasted a bit of it. But doesn’t account for bread n butter. This explains the curiosity to learn and live a luxurious life. But currently in a hibernate mode….
Also does anyone here have done commodity trading? (Except Gold of course!)

Then I recommend you don’t jump into this.
I have seen people who lost a lot of money initial years, some quit, some kept on going. Some got only income after 3-4 years of loss.
The above example is of Intraday, Options & Futures Trading.
That was my mirror self!… That post has nothing to do with this one.
Could you give your examples in detail so that someone noob like me can understand!

I am full time trader with 10 yrs experience and sub broker with more than 100 clients

Bro, people take years to be a successful trader. I am a trader n investor. I trade to learn n for fun. I earn good money from it, but that’s just a side effect, that’s what I am thinking of it. Edit: I am fairly new. I am not a seasoned professional
Trading as a source of bread n butter is kinda risky thing to do. I ll suggest you to take proper training and learn skills. Take small delivery based trades. Take baby steps. Big money is there. But you can’t manage it so soon. Everything is digital in form. For a while, I took money as just numbers. Big mistake by me.
I ll not demotivate you. I suggest you take a look into each kind of trading, intraday, positional, FnO etc. Decide what you wanna become. Then start following those people who have made it. That’s it. But it ll take time. 🙂🙂🙂
