Just curious…How many of you guys are doing trading for living?
I’m somewhat noob in this area (from practical standpoint not theoretical though!)

Just thought to make a thread after recent discussions on SBI Card IPO stuff on DD.

It will be helpful if you share your perspective on trading for living! TIA

I believe many here do that and a lot more do the same in reality too. It’s a normal business/ profession. Why curious? May I know?

I do. But it’s a side hustle for me. Not full time that’s why I don’t do intra trade.

Just tasted a bit of it. But doesn’t account for bread n butter. This explains the curiosity to learn and live a luxurious life.  But currently in a hibernate mode….

That’s what this philosophy is all about. It’s a bit twisted tale to show the audience the truth, about the pursuit of happiness and how you are being sold to this dream! That movie and WS both are legendary. sunglasses

I downloaded all the shits like penny-stocking, intraday trading etc etc but never had the time to learn those… Always prioritised other things than learning those…I guess I’ll learn those when I get above 30!

Zerodha Varsity is a good place to start.
https://zerodha.com/va...y/

Once you have done that, master fundamental analysis and then technical analysis. Then start with paper trading on Tradingview.

https://in.tradingvie...m/

When you gain enough knowledge, experience and confidence then start putting some money. Start with low amount. And forget about futures and options until you are good with deliveries.

Also does anyone here have done commodity trading? (Except Gold of course!)
Was thinking to invest in Uphold account and buy some commodity after recent Coronavirus outbreak!

Aren’t you the same guy who lost 200 Zingoy GV coz you forgot?
Then I recommend you don’t jump into this.
I have seen people who lost a lot of money initial years, some quit, some kept on going. Some got only income after 3-4 years of loss.
The above example is of Intraday, Options & Futures Trading.

That was my mirror self!… That post has nothing to do with this one.
Could you give your examples in detail so that someone noob like me can understand!
TIA
Edit: Good suggestion…it’s the plan of future so ….bla bla bla!
And the bottom-line of your suggestion is to not become trader if you want instant income right?

I too watch market but only crypto-currency! I invested one time only and got out with 4-5 K profit and surprisingly the Bitcoin crashed just a week after and thereafter it got banned in India.

PS. Does anyone know whether we are allowed to invest in crypto-currency outside India?
Also, Is anyone here investing in abroad exchanges?

Most of the people lose in Intraday (Stocks, Options & Futures) Trading.

They also lose their HEALTH and later regret it.

One Man’s Profit, is another Man’s Loss here.

@ros_guy what I wanted to say was, one should be cautious and accept that he can gain/lose. (saw your edit later)

Yes…the same concerns as those of software programmers.
