Hi, need urgent help!
I transferred Rs. 49,999 via rent payment method to a shop owner and this transfer was instant.
After a few minutes, I did the same for same amount and now I’m seeing status as ‘Processing’ and it will take 2 days for the amount to be credited to their account.
Did I do something wrong?
I paid via Paytm First Citibank CC and merchant name shown was ‘PayTM’ both the times (hoping to get 3% cashback as suggested by others) and on their app, I can see the credit limit has gone down, that means amount has been deducted from credit card already.
Shop owner is puzzled why it should take 2 days as I need to book the thing today only, this is really disturbing for me at the moment.

no rent agreement needed, made payment of 49,999 twice for the same reason of providing rent agreement
check paytm order details. If it shows as cancelled, they will refund it to your card. There is no delay for paytm rent payments. They do block fraudulent transactions, so please be mindful of not acting like one
ideally your account should be blocked as well as paytm account or transferred back to account with 2% payment gateway charge deduction.

Hopefully this goes through
I am assuming it’s stuck because paytm’s system either blocked it because of you crossing 50k limit OR it thought it was an accidental duplicate transaction and has put it on hold to see if the user makes any support ticket regarding this.

checked with them on Twitter and they told me to wait for 2 days, that’s the only reason they kept giving me

Delay happens for Rent payment
Last month it took close to 21 hours to transfer 40k amt
It happens for some payments, earlier all payments used to take 48 hours, now occasionally some take 48 hours. its completely normal
Any offer u r using on payment of credit card!!
It can take 3 working days also. April 14, 15 are bank holidays in some states. Check for your state.

Paytm Citi gives 3% cashback. Additionally Paytm itself keep giving 100-200 cb.
Can u use amex card for rent payment on Paytm? Do I need to provide rent agreement?
Will I get 3% reward points on Citi Paytm First CC if I load money to Paytm wallet from Paytm app?
The merchant shown was “One97 Communications”.
P.S. I loaded Rs. 7,500 to Paytm wallet from Citi Paytm First CC, extra charges incurred Rs. 172.50 and I got cashback of Rs. 150. If I get even 1% reward points, it’s a win-win for me but if I don’t get, that’s a loss of Rs. 22.5
It says nowhere that there is an cap of 50,000 Rs a month for rent payment and rent agreement is mentioned as optional. If they want to block payments like this, why can't they put restrictions instead of keeping people on tenterhooks?
I am stuck in a situation in which I boasted how fast my PayTM account for rent payment to a friend and he asked to pay his rent outstanding for 2 months (80k) from his card on my PayTM. It went into this 48 hour processing. He keeps checking with the landlord whether they got his payment and keeps saying it hasn't gone through and at the same time the card limit is also blocked.
The worst part here is that it was I who suggested he rather use rent pay facility instead of loading his wallet with 80k which comes with 4% odd transaction charges.
Bro I’m facing the same issue. Can you tell me that how much did it take to process the rent payment.
