Turn off Chat features in android

HDFC found a loophole in marketing.
There's something called Chat Features in android which delivers text messages or images in the Messages app via data instead of Cellular network (normal text message).
This bypasses TRAI DND and the sender still succeeds in marketing. This can't even be reported to TRAI atm as the DND app doesn't detect it (as it's not a text message)
For this very abusive marketing reason, I am never getting an HDFC Credit card.

I stopped using google messages app long back when i got multiple ads from different companies.
Now i use only the default MI Messaging app

I also don't use Google's native but it's Samsung's native app.
TBH, this feature is independent of which messaging app but more so with phone number tied to any messaging app and HDFC abusing the feature.

To Turn off this type of marketing on Android:
Message Settings ➡️ Chat Features ➡️ Toggle OFF
