TV price increase

Missed buying TV during last year,

Actually should have bought the TV’s last year, as the prices of almost all of the TV’s were increased by 3000 to 5000 rupees and more,
Without discounts itself, it was a better deal then.

Any idea why TV prices were increased ..

Though ratings are good, not sure why less people have bought Iffalcon, VU , Kodak 🤔 (less number of reviews but high ratings) compared to Mi, Realme.

Similar priced newly launched Amazon Basics TV in Jan 2021 also out of stock.

Are Iffalcon, VU, Kodak really better than other budget brands.

Will the TV prices reduce in the coming months, is it worth to wait,
hoping for price reduction + another sale.

GST rate hike and there will be another one soon.. For some strange reason if GST is hiked 10%, prices go up 20%..

You can get good prices during sales, though not as good as last year sales before Covid. Post covid, electronics saw huge price increase, whether it be mobiles or TVs, etc. Sales also seem to have lost some charm as compared to pre covid sales last year. Then GST increase.

So you can wait for sale, if not urgently required. Otherwise get whichever you find suited to your needs, check out the prices, hardware specs (RAM and internal storage), user reviews, etc. Try to pick few options and then post here for suggestion among those.

I would suggest one of iffalcon, VU or MI. I somehow dont like to go for rebranded ones like Moto, Kodak, Marq, etc. Make sure to get 3 years extended warranty that is sold on FK alongwith the TV. If you are from a big city, Jeeves 3 year warranty service should be acceptable in case of failure or defect during that 3 year period. Service in lower tier/ rural areas is always iffy even for big brands.
