I had bought a USB 3.1 Type C to A adapter by Quantum almost 4 years ago and it has continued to work reliably. I have mostly used it to backup data onto USB HDDs.
Edit: Looks like it has been OOS for quite a long time now.

Orico USB C hub at Rs 399 after 100 off coupon might be a better alternative than the Amazon Basics cable although it's "only" 5Gbps. I had bought it at Rs 299 a couple of days back.
