Download Uber app apk version 4.439.10002 and 4.438.10001, where the custom amount option is there. In the device, where version 4.442.10002 is installed, has no custom amount option.
In my app I can slide the amount options horizontally and custom option appears

This is for everyone and this is good. Please don't do excessive money rotation transactions. It's not worth the effort if you value your Amazon n Uber accounts. Once in a while exploitation is fine. Frequent abuse ll bring troubles only.

Actually the trick was here for a very long time. But when people start aggressively exploit those things the loop holes are closed. @abhishek012 knew it properly.
