Please shed some light on the debit card charges too, because these banks generally have low MAB, but high debit card charges.

In Maharashtra most of local banks give platinum card with very low balance and low annual charge for debit card.

One more is nkgsb bank, that also have 500 and 1000 account.

Check Welcome kit  pdf received in email, you will get user name and password.

Debit card is required for mobile app activation and transaction password only. They sent netbanking user id password in welcome kit, sent as pdf in email you provided online while opening account.

Online account opening , they will send debit card but will it be platinum? Not sure. Thats why it was suggested to apply separately.  So best is visit branch and ask for platinum card. They should give you non personalized platinum card.

@drupal also manually apply Canara bank RuPay Platinum online,

apply RuPay Platinum debit card through internet banking, go to cards option (if card option not showing on net banking then open through laptop/desktop browser).

Select RuPay Card type and then Domestic + International, you will receive by default Canara bank RuPay Platinum debit card, some dimers already confirmed, they receive RuPay Platinum debit card.
