No new apps installed. All from playstore only.
Couldn't report. Nsdl is after 9AM. KVB didnt connect to a person even after 15 min.
Is it possible that phonepe adds extra UPI ids to the banks without us initiating it?
Contacted KVB cc. They said it would be done by apps like phonepe , googlepay when they add extra UPI ID's and there is nothing to worry.

Technically they can if they have issues with a particular banking partner or migrates user to other IDs for balancing load... I suggest asking phonepe what went wrong with your account, did they self migrate or added fail over 2nd IDs... They have all logs related to it.
In order to enable migration from single bank to multibank model given the aforementioned, it will be a must for the TPAP to seek user consent (Without any tangible or intangible incentives) and create handle to the other PSP bank. The user should be prominently shown the option of "opt-out" and if selects this option, the process stops there (it is the choice of customer to change his/her UPI ID/handle to the other PSP bank.)

Both messages clearly asking users to report it to bank if not initiated by them, dunno on what basis KVB assuring there's nothing to worry. Can't say if this is scam or TPAP doing but if it is the latter (PhonePe), you should report it to NPCI
Somtimes banks send UPI register sms after 24hrs.
