Hii friends 

Recently on 03.04.2022 around 5. P.M  I faced an Unauthorised transaction of Rs.14850/- from my Flipkart Axis Credit Card and t I have not received any messages relating to the transaction and same came to my knowledge on 07.4.2022 when I checked my statement in Axis Bank application the 4 transactions which were showing for the amount of Rs.14850/- are debited for FLIPKART PAYMENTS BANGALORE, later I immediately reported to the bank officials and reported the Incident they blocked my card and ensured to conduct an investigation within 60 days.

Meantime I also reported to the Flipkart team but they not respond and refused to give any information and called again to Axis customer care for reporting to the Police station but they clearly stated not required to approach.

Thereafter, they emailed me that they are not liable to refund or waive off the amount and if not satisfied with their reply instructed me to report to the Nodal officer, when I forward the incident report to the Nodal officer after a week they replied the following email 

We apologise for the inconvenience caused to you.

We would like to inform you that the above transactions are secured transactions which cannot be done unless the person is in possession of a credit card OTP Secure PIN, which is confidential in nature and known only to the cardholder unless the cardholder divulges the same to a third party.

Kindly note that the customer is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password, registration data and other verification information, Axis Bank is not liable for loss or damage if any, arising from the customer’s failure to comply with the terms of service.

and now they are directed to approach the Banking Ombudsman and report to police authorities, now its turned into a headache and time consuming for me anyhow I have to fight against this so decided to take this incident further by reporting to the ombudsman and Cybercrime police in Bangalore.


I have seen many customers of Axis bank report unauthorised transactions on this platform, please share your valuable feedback and experience. and keep updating the issue.

As per my experience very unlikely for this to be disputed and recovered as per new ways of workings and process being followed by banks and financial institutes.

Recently had two transaction on government websites, done by me only, which failed at end stage after payment deduction.

Reached to HDFC and OneCard respectively and both of them asked me to get a confirmation from Merchant about non-receipt of fund. Only then they agreed to proceed with dispute/chargeback. I found it quite odd as in past when I had raised dispute (many years back, only once), there was no such ask for merchant confirmation. I challenged both institutes – what happens in case the merchant is a fraud and doesn’t deliver post receipt of fund. They said that these are requirements from Visa as chargeback are costly affair…

1)Do you keep the FK Axis card always on (without disabling domestic and international transactions?

2)Is your FK axis charged by flipkart ?

3)What is unique point from you to show the proof that you did not make that transaction?

I have raised a formal complaint before cybercrime P.S Bangalore, they received the complaint formally without registration of FIR  but I received the acknowledgement.
meantime I am raising the complaint before the banking ombudsman and also issuing a consumer notice 
1) for providing deficiency in service
2) not protecting my card details 
3) not receiving the transaction messages immediately.
4) Advising wrongly.
5) for not investigating properly 

the point is a transaction is not made from my Flipkart account and there are no transaction details at all provided from Flipkart or Axis.

Daily started Receiving many automated calls and agent calls from Axis to pay the amount, these people ae only recovery agents they don't have any details or background, after bearing for 10-15 days, I clearly informed and mailed not to cause harassment now they have stopped, even the status of case before ombudsman still pending.

Kindly never approach the ombudsman, it totally acts in favor of the bank, not the customers, they closed my issue without any intimation so I approached the consumer court and the court admitted my case and issued a notice to Axis bank, presently the Axis bank advocates appeared and posted for their objections.

On the other side, they have not stopped generating false statements and also reported to third-party agents to recover the amount, further its impacted my credit score, and they are trying to pressurize me a lot.
