I searched through existing posts but found confusing results so posting the question.
Do we get 2.5% cashback with SimplyClick if we make bill payments (insurance etc.) on Amazon? I know we can purchase gv at 2.5% and then pay, but if we directly, do we still get 2.5% cashback?

Yes 2.5% except on amazon wallet load
