In my city there is a hotel which sells happilo cashew and I ordered upon delivering I notice I was charged 25 percentage more than the MRP
I twitted them they responded back saying they are just a platform hotels are free to decided the charges.
As per my knowledge only if we dine in hotels can charge more than the MRP.
How swiggy is getting away with it
I don't exactly have any knowledge about the legal things.....but if you see it's the same for soft drinks too...and it's there from years and we're just living with that....and it's not just not in swiggy...it happens in Zomato and magicpin too....best example you can find is soft drinks like thumbs up pet bottle of 20 rupees...which will be sold at 25,30 or even 40 in some restaurants 🥲✌️
They can sell the product as per their choice and price, here tnc of restro overlaps the MRP, and its everywhere , same goes in delhi sarkari theka where u have to pay 5-10 extra for thandi beer. Whereas it was not in the case of private thekas. As of now there are very little no. Of thekas in delhi so left with no choice other than sarkari theka.
You didn't notice before paying? And many hotels, restaurants and even shops sell higher than MRP. I remember a rude shopkeeper charging higher than MRP and when pointed out he yelled at us students, "who's paying the electricity bill, your dad?" This was 12 years ago when electricity bill wasn't as eccentrically high as today 😑

Bro, we were little, short north east kids and he was this tall, fat north indian guy. Lol he would have made little chapati from us.
Some one complained to their parents about his daily abuses and a police report was filed against him. Police let him go with a warning but me and my friends never visited it again so don't know if his behaviour changed or not.
