As a salaried middle class person who pays taxes every year, NOTHING. Government will do nothing for tax paying citizens as we are busy trying to earn a honest living and paying our taxes and don’t have time to unify and tell government to treat us fair.
People have been demanding increase in 80c limit from 1.5L to say 2.5L or so but nothing is being done. In fact I suspect they will completely remove 80c and only have new regime.
No matter whichever govt comes , income tax payer (TDS) have no means to save money.
No social security, no medical benefits , no free And quality education for honest tax payer. And then pay Indirect tax like all other folks of this country.
Basically govt ne choos rakha hai income tax payer ko

I will be the happiest person, if they don’t touch anything for income tax payers.
Removing the Old tax regime is high on cards. every year is like a bonus now (I guess corona had stopped them to do it last year).
And some more agri cess might be added to enhance the agricultural sector.
Also, whichever media you read.. believe me all are clickbait articles, they are just encashing advertisements on our article reads.
No expectations from the Government, this government has absolute majority, I can’t find any sense why they will give us some leeways. We are the only milkable cows left, rest protests.. we don’t/can’t.
Sunday Dada will thank us (all tax payers), Tue day Sita maiya will rip us.

But this Budget speech will serve as an advertisement opportunity for the UP, right under the nose of Election Commissioner. She will announce packages to lure Kisans of UP and Punjab and to whomsoever concerned in Goa 😀 and media will have debates round the clock to fit the narrative in the minds of voters. So expect the unexpected 😀

As usual political litterers , gang the thread and completely change the direction of threads , informative , suggestions and debatable threads are being regularly diverted by some paid dimers by making unnecessary memes , comments and the whole purpose of thread is lost .
Being humorous and sarcastic sometimes here and there in moderation is ok but always same kind of one sided bashing gives the impression that they are getting paid for it at the cost of forum

My Budget expections
1. first and foremost is basic exemption limit should be increased from current 2.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs(highly unlikely 
last hike was on 2014 budget by late arun jaitely)
2. Standard deduction should be increased to 75000 from 50000 because of work from home expenses
3. parents excluding senior citizens medical insurance should be increased to 50000 from 25000
4. For godsake, 80c limit should be increased to 2.5 Lakhs. Last revised on 2014 budget
5. Interest on home loan limit should be increased to 2.5 lakhs from 2 lakhs
6. Atlast 5% deduction for individuals who are earning above 10 L ( Even EWS category people are being called as poor for earning above 8 lakhs)
Expecting atleast 3 announcements out of the above 6.
I know it’s too much for tax payers to expect from Nirmala and current bjp regime. Still hoping for miracle because of upcoming 5 states assembly eelctions
Maybe due to elections some benefits may be announced

Ended up paying 8.5 lakhs in direct taxes this year, expecting to get 60k in return.

11:18 am - Use of kisan drones for digitalization of land records and spraying of nutrients
11:19 am – A fund to encourage startups – for agriculture
11:20 – For farmers, provide comprehensive package with state goverments.
MSME will be interlinked with other portals – providing G2C , B2C
80C limit will probably be decreased or some exemptions allowed will be removed. Not much expected for middle class from this govt.
