Upgrade Amazon Pay Icici Credit Card
There are a lot of Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card users who wish to upgrade their existing credit cards and take another ICICI Credit Card. However, the bad news is, ICICI Bank does not allow upgrading the Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card to any other card directly. It is a dead-end!
In case you have any other ICICI Credit Card, like ICICI Platinum CC, then you can call ICICI Customer Support and upgrade it over a phone call itself, but it is not possible for Amazon Pay ICICI CC.
But don’t worry! Here’s the trick to upgrade your Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card, in case you do not have any other ICICI credit card, or your Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card limit is higher, and you are wanting to upgrade from that. This is known as the popular Expression CC Trick, applicable for all ICICI Credit Cards, however, it is mostly applicable to Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card which is not directly upgradable.
- Download the iMobile App 13.
- Browse to the ‘Cards’ section, and click on your Amazon Pay ICICI CC.
- Click on ‘Manage Card’, and then click on ‘Get Expressions Card’.
- This is a pretty ‘useless’ credit card, but we need this credit card for this trick to work.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and request for ‘ICICI Expressions Credit Card’.
- You will see charges mentioned as ₹499+GST. But don’t worry, we are not going to pay for that.
- Wait for 24-48 hours, the card will be generated on your iMobile App. (Usually, you’ll find it at 12 am the next-to-next day of requesting the card)
- The limit of this ICICI Expressions CC will be the same as your Amazon Pay ICICI CC.
- Once this is generated, call up ICICI customer support 34 (1800 1020 123), and you can request an upgrade for your newly generated ICICI Expressions Credit Card. Now you can choose your favorite credit card, like ICICI Coral CC, or ICICI MMT CC, etc.
- Again wait for 24-48 hours, and you will find your new card on the iMobile App (same as step 7). This card will also have the same limit as your Amazon Pay ICICI CC.
- Now one last thing left, you need to call the ICICI Support team again and get your Expression CC de-activated. Do this within one billing cycle of card generation, else you will be charged the annual fees for the card (which happens on the bill generation date).
- Your cards will get shared limits. (Although some people reported separate limits, including myself)
- The ICICI credit card upgrade and cancellation process are fully telephonic. You don’t need to write any big letters.
- Your Expressions CC will get despatched automatically via courier. Accept it, no problem with that. Keep it as your souvenir.
- If you want, you may keep using all the 3 ICICI Credit Cards: Amazon Pay CC, Expressions CC, and your new CC together. They will all have shared limits.
- If you want, you can upgrade any one of your credit cards (excluding Amazon Pay) to any other CC many more times by calling ICICI Bank. ICICI Bank will be happy to issue you more CC, as long as you are getting shared limits.

no need to to upgrade. If you are a account holder just ask the customer care for another LTF card. They will offer you one based on the balance/relation. I hold a LTF rubyx along with the apay card As the apay card never works for any bank offer anywhere. If you hasve been using the card for sometime, you will automatically get sms every few days to enhance you limit. Mine was enhanced around 4 times in one go.
BY the way is there a full proof way of tallying the cashback received on the apay card? I cant seem to see it in the statement.
i called customer care more than 10 times and always they refused to take upgrade request saying amazon pay card cannot be upgraded to another card...

ok so i finally managed to get mmt card on the amazon pay card basis...
first i tried calling CC 10 times but they denied saying amazon is co-branded card and you can't upgrade it in any card...
i also showed interest in mmt card on icici website.. so i received a call from CC, first he denied but after some hours i recieved a call from his higher authority, when i told me about my issue.. he agreed and said mmt card is also co-branded card and you can get it on the basis of amazon card.. he raised the request for upgrade... and i got the card...
so.. you can get mmt card based on amazon card...
you can't get a normal icici card based on a co-branded card..
so, anyone who want to upgrade their card call CC and ask them to upgrade, if they deny say co-branded card can be issue againts amazon card.. if they still deny ask them to transfer the call to higher authorities..
they don't know that you can upgrade to mmt based on amazon (i called 10 times and they clearly denied)
My Amazon pay ICICI card is going to complete 2 months, can i ask for another card? basically LTF platimum or any other?

Haha. They are not even transferring the call the their seniors.
Just now talked with ICICI customer care. They didn't transfer call to higher official, nor the cancellation team. Just simply denied any conversation of apay card to any other variant rudely. Even they are happy to cancel the apay card without issueing any alternative card.
Got Platinum LTF alongside my Amazon Pay card with this trick.

You can get MMT Platinum easily on basis of APAY. Last applied for my sister, her APAY card was not even 30days old. Took expressions also from app. Representative took the upgrade request, No question asked.
What will be the validity of these recharge and bill payment offers..if I apply and get the Amazon pay card today? Anybody who applied recently.. please share the knowledge..

They've already dispatched my expressions card and confirmed on call that it has been deactivated but still showing in iMobile app.
Should I accept the card or reject the delivery, don't want to pay any annual charges on this.
after applying thru icici app for expression card , how u get SR number ? the app says that a SR number is in progress but the exact SR number is not displayed
update : icici dont care about SR number intimation thru email/phone/sms , no call nothing just wait and u will see the card in app . now will call'em for downgrade to plat or other LTF , MMT might b useless as all point goes to wallet and i don travel by trains much ,lounge cities r anyway just 4 metro and madurao
OK for the record , the expression trick is working , u need to fallow the steps and call again and again,customer care will keep saying discouraging illogical things like
call 1: NO ,talk to senior:u can only upgrade to MMT signature as it paid higher card , not MMT platinum as it is on same fees goin branch/online and apply
call 2: it's only after 3 month of statemnt u can apply for upgrade
call 3: u can have safiro ,ruby MMT signature as shown in system but not LTF platinum , MMT platinum
call 4:system is not showig option try netbanking , physical visit to branch
call 5 : some very decent voice , so i think its some Senior guy he told to call after some time as system busy

Also i think this is some tactic by ICICI itself to reise the sell of its expression card ,which even after been pampered thru imobile application (no other ICICI CC get issued this fast) has few takers , guess it was project of someone senior in ICICI who want to see it few suceeds

My expression credit card generated & started showing in Imobile app on 12 April & Same day I have contacted customer support regarding LTF platinum or MMT platinum upgradation….after calling 4-5 times….last customer support executive took request for MMT platinum & provide Service request number & same showing in Imobile app but till now my Card not generated yet... approval chances?😐
