For Amazon Flipkart offers all above is similar. For remaining cases, since you’ve a car, you should choose Octane card, since it’s fuel card.

I am asked by bank to choose card
should i take simplyclick or elite or BPCL octane card?
for octane card they told they will give annual fee waiver of 1500
i am frequent shopper on flipkart, amazon etc. also we use IndianOil petrol not bharat petrol for car only
for elite their is annual fee of 4999
they told i get higher limit on BPCL octane card.
I am confused between these cards
which to take

Elite for 11 months provided you are given with higher limit, later downgrade to Simplyclick. Reason for not suggesting Octane is because you are into IOCL not BPCL.

downgrade to simplyclick will get same limit as Elite?
if I downgrade within 11 month, I don’t have to pay annual fee 4999 of elite?
basically take card that gets maximum limit first time, then downgrade?

Yes. While downgrading you have to ask them to transfer the existing CC limit to the new one. You have to pay joining fee of 4999+gst against which you will get some vouchers but from next year onwards no such vouchers for paying annual fee so..

If you decide to go with Elite make sure you suck out most of it, movie travel and memberships. Otherwise go with Octane.

is it so joining fee is nil? if so i downgrade at 11 month I don’t have to pay 4999?

I do not know about bankbazaar, in SBI cards website joining fee is mentioned.
athuljayaram wrote:ok
so for SBI card
fee is charged as soon as I join?
i am first time getting a sbi credit card.
Yes joining fee is billed in the first months statement.
ok
i will ask them which of 3 cards will get me highest limit and take that card.
they told I will get higher limit on octane than simplyclick.
I am fine if i get 10% discount offers on sbi cards - octane card which flipkart or amazon runs occassionally
either simplyclick (499 annual fee) or octane (1499) will do as they will give annual fee waiver for octane
if they will give higher limit for elite than octane, I will take elite or go with octane.
I assume the sbi credit card app will show me upgrade offer to elite and can upgrade if I ever need it.

Thing is as per SBI these 3 card fall under different segments.
Entry level, Premium and Super premium. These factors determine the max highest limit assigned to these cards.
One more thing, SBI rarely gives the limit which they assure you while applying, so do make sure of that too. My cousin was assured of 2L limit while applying for Prime CC but was given 80K 😅
Nowadays, SBI is giving free Amazon vouchers with pre-approved cards, so don’t miss out on them.

i guess only simplyclick is giving 500 rs amazon voucher

For simply save, it’s 1k; for Elite, it’s 2.5k. I don’t know about Octane & Click. Probably 1k as their annual fees are the same. But these offers are on pre-approved cards only and user-specific I guess. Just check prior to applying for the card.
simlyclick bcoz u shop on amazon….. gives 10x points
I chose octane card they told will revert 1500 annual fee of card
also they told I will get higher limit on octane card than simplyclick card
so i will take octane and see if i can get addon simplyclick card (limit could be shared among cards)
