Lagta hai Mujhe bhi Flipkart Pay later disable karwana padega.
Complain as soon as possible, and try to gain access to Flipkart account.

Bro yeh paylater nai hai. Yeh to saved cards se hua hai i assume na?

So it’s better not to save any cc on our ecommerce accounts then?

Now we are on verge of digital country, we are forgetting the basic foundation " security " and and trying to build digital, in the same way food, Ecomwrce, no basic laws to drive this things, no scrutiny, nothing, things will be Very critic down the line after 5yrs.

I have 10 CC saved on amazon & never once faced an issue. If you don’t follow proper security guidelines then even a 100% offline acc will not be able to save you from fraud.

1. Invoice
2. Device Imei
3. Delivery guy name and number
4. Ip address from where the purchase was made

And will apple block the iPhone if asked to?
With all the details of fir and other proofs

FK won’t disclose these details (IP and Delivery person name/number  – Never) if the fraudster had changed Email + Mobile number. But your friend can get the account back pretty soon and can request the invoice to be sent to his email again 

and Apple will only block the device IMEI if they receive such instruction from a legal authority

And the worst thing is , once the scam is done … you will get no help/support from anyone … be it banks or ecom portals or so called RBI protection … things are getting real messy .

Didn’t the person receive any SMS or email when the order was placed, shipped or delivered? Delivery address should be there at least.

Enable TFA wherever possible. But Flipkart doesn’t support TFA (Two Factor Authentication).

My guess: Same password everywhere (/ on compromised websites). Random auto-generated passwords for other sites

My friend came to know about this transaction from pay later emi statement

Flipkart later service providing bank is the one can help you with, but i have no idea how to go with these paylater services unlike cc, they must have some fraudulent measures at place similar to chargeback. Stress them much with your fir.

And ask flipkart people to unblock your account with access to your email/ phone only if they ain’t help you with any proper help. Try approaching with police fir/ note from police to get the details out from Flipkart (need to work that out with police guys).  Then they should help.

As @getready said above, they can block the IMEI (if the culprits have not done advance level rooting to that device yet) and these people can only try to sell in grey market only. So high chances of getting caught and getting back the refund, albeit everyone works timely.. and we know how it works s in our country.

Such a big trouble for a little carelessness, maybe.

Pay later thing
They are not insured,hence user has to bear the scammed amount.
Unfortunate incident.
Do an FIR and raise to Flipkart, they might help getting details of the loan bank.

Strong password isn’t mandatory but its good to have a complex one (Just don’t use the same password elsewhere). 
+ Maintain a different email address (if possible mobile number too*) for websites with wallet / PayLater services linked and don’t share it with anyone (Can use a spare mobile number with the delivery address, which obviously gets exposed to Scam / Spamsters )

No hacking when the Account ID itself remains mystery!
