I raised complaint to hdfc customer care regarding fruad transaction . She said will update in 24 hrs !!!
How is this possible without upi pin n without my knowledge my money got deducted
Raise dispute with NPCI about this fraud.
Call :—-
BHIM Toll Free number 18001201740
helpline number 022-45414740
for any queries or complaints on your BHIM transactions.
Actually by sending that message you have given access of your upi account to fraudsters.
Right now immediately change your UPI Pin.
Transfer remaining money to other account.
File cybercrime complain online.
Be in touch with your bank if chargeback is possible (28 days time period)
In digitalization fraud is also growing on peak. Be cautious in future while dealing with upi and mobile banking. Never share your credentials.
Is there possibility of getting money back ???? Plss help
Yes, everything is possible. Call given number of sms and raised dispute now
Mobikwik never call anyone…. Even they can’t care to talk, you give permission to hacker to access your upi account.
You heard sim fraud, its same.
This is kalyug anything is possible.
Why you sent activation msg manually???
KOI KUCH BHI KAHEGA WO KAROGE AAP?
I didn’t even send the confirmation message for CC approval. They Said we will generate message by ourselves. How to verify CC agents.
wow , now the hackers seeking this trick ACTIVATE 8ad66b9616536f963968d868e083ffdd3916 .

1)Raise dispute with your primary bank(transaction dispute)
2) Fight with mobikwik
Why mobikwik?? Money is credited to upi account linked with paytm !!! Should i call paytm ??
I still didn’t understood.
He used manual message tactic to activate the upi but how come he did the transaction without knowing the upi pin??
I’m thinking the same thing,
If he tried to change the UPI pin, he will get OTP or he should know the debit card. Right?
HDFC and paytm both have same phone number right ?
Ha*ker selected hdfc bank and you got message, its simple.
You must have set upi pin in hdfc long back which you are no longer using
We should disable upi from bank.
Deactivate upi profiles always which we do not use
Can you please enlighten us a bit more
How these transactions are done without pin.
I have no idea.
He asked you and you sent the activation message
Ab to vishwas hi uth gya digital transactions se… Cash hi karlo bhaiya sab… 2-4 rs kam kamao Khao… Par safe to hai… Ye hum 100-50 save karne ke chakkar me jo apna upi etc har jagah link kar dete hai…. Us lalach ka fal hai ye…
I have details to recipient … in the name off munni bai
Upi address: to VPA 9091732&@₹@paytm(UPI Ref No 00411686₹₹₹₹). and reference no also .. should i call paytm cc and ask them to revert this money or block recipients account
tweet to paytm customer care and take help
First thing first…secure your remaining money..but transferring it to different account with different phone number to remain safe….
I think I got the way the hacker did the transaction.
Hacker himself set the UPI pin for the user.
@baaz4u2007 Did you send a message containing some random text like “ACTIVATE 8ad66b9616536f963968d868e083ffdd3916..” to any phonenumber?
Sending this message to bank phone number like 9717465555 will authenticate the UPI registration.
Then the user can reset the UPI provided UPI account has made earlier
Resetting UPI pin requires your DC no AFAIK
Unless OP shared that too
Btw the question remains how did the scammer got the phone number?
1. Did you post the number publicly in mobikwik twitter page?
2. DId you post your number in any forum publicly?
I always feel that such scams are result of some insider involvement… getting scam calls at the moment when your are expecting help from any service provider raises suspicions….cc guys who are less paid may have tie up with some scam call centres who passes on the information for share of commission in loot
@ baaz4u2007. Help me with my questions, this will prevent someone getting scammed.
Also can you send me the ph number 90046767 if it is not yours obviously, will google and check if it is mentioned somewhere else
I also got a call from same type of fraudster when I posted some complaint on twitter. He told that he is calling to help me just forward this sms to number I tell and the he sent me UPI Act message and I simply disconnected the call. These all frauds are originated from bihar. Beware guys !!!
So, this confirms how the person here is scammed.
Can anyone check if UPI PIN is required?
I guess PIN can be generated on the go.
guys, be aware! these type of sms messages will bypass authentication of UPI transactions. this a security flaw of UPI system.
at this point, the only thing we can do to keep the bank account safe is to keep the mobile number linked to our bank account as confidential as possible!
Looks strange as you raised complaint to mobikwik care and then after that hacker contacted you.
Its not strange, It is still to confirm if he gave him number publicly in twitter with the details of the query he is facing. if he gave it is very easy for scammer to call back on this number and telling the query what he wrote.
Learnings – DO NOT GIVE YOUR (BANK) PHONE NUMBERS ONLINE/FEEDBACK/SURVEY SITES.
Please avoid direct posting of mobile numbers while complaining on twitter always go through DM also do not entertain any fraud calls like asking to activate via sms
olx / quikr scams are well known
can any one help – on phone pe wallet even after deleting the mobile@ybl it still shows in BHIM UPI ID section of the wallet and below it shows as activate how to delete it completely from phone pe
A upi id once created can not be deleted/deactivated by user as it needs authentication from npci/bank/app company.
Absolutely guys please dont not post complaints on social networking sites mentioning your phone number since fraudster will make the same story while calling you and then steal your money.
Op is missing mentioning some important details
He must hv posted number in Twitter.
He must hva downloaded an app
He must hv forwarded an SMS
That’s all boom.ur money is gone.
U cannot raise fraud dispute since it is user initiated Transaction.
But if receiver bank is original kyc u can track the fraud and give 420sec. Complaint ant get Ur money back.
U had only 5k in bank balance or more. Y scammer took only 5k?
Nowadays some banks limit upi transactions done via 3rd party apps(aka not bank’s own upi app) to 5k-10k daily. ICICI does the same & limit also is 5k I think for 3rd party upi apps.
Vu thread for awareness to others
OP please share additional details so others can be safe.
Where did you raised your first complain with Mobikwik CC? Is that in a public forum where you revails your mobile no?
Today got a call from this number 9088962085, he said, he is from Bank’s – Indina Bank, Canara Bank, State bank – head office, and wanted to activate my ATM card and for that he needs my card details. I asked which bank are you from? He said SBI, clearly understood his accent, because I heard the same so many times on social media how people got duped. So I replied I don’t have an account at SBI, he simply switched off.
I was wondering how he happened to manage to get my new number. The thing is that, this is the first time I am getting such a fraud call in the last 5 years since I started to use banking services. Three days ago I requested, on SBI Internet Banking, to change my mobile number, for this I chose ‘Get a call to new number from CC’ to verify. So he must have got from somewhere in there, at outsourcing. His voice was the same one as I heard on social media and the same dialogue – Indian Bank, Canara Bank, State Bank. He has been duping people for a long time I think so. I don’t even know who is gonna put an end to his misdeeds.
Problem is at SBI itself. Cannot trust Public Sector Banks too. We have to be careful.
Scammers are trained in call centres to do these type of fraud.
Entire village is doing fraud for there living.
Bank accounts also are included.if police tries to catch
1out of 1000 villagers surrender.
Other 999 continue these malpractice.
Only public has to be aware and not share anything even SMS without OTP why to share.
Dedution is from hdfc … my hdfc upi in not even linked to paytm then how money got deducted??
