A hotel denied checkin which was booked through MMT.
I am a single traveler, and not even a local resident. I was in this city for a client meeting.
What is the best action that I could take?
I tried calling MMT but they say that they could only refund the amount.
It's raining heavily and there's no taxi /uber / ola available.
Update: I booked a nearby hotel offline. Now the thing is is it worth to take any action against MMT? Horrendous support. Couldn't just just do anything and simply offered a refund that too by asking me to draft an email to them.

Book another hotel.. Always call hotel before checkin.... Or try using retiring rooms of railway... U wont be denied checkin ever
Goibibo was helpful twice to me for similar issue(solved in 30 mins). Maybe we should prefer goibibo over mmt if rates are same or slight difference
And those railway retiring rooms are usually very good.
Try OYO..they give cheaper last minute rooms
If you want to damage then write a negative review with extra masala and copy paste everywhere, their twitter , Facebook page, playstore app etc, you'll get some compensation else santusti to milegi hi..! This is very bad if they've confirmed booking then they should provide service as promised, u can drag to consumer court also if this is not their in their t&c. But it'll take your time also.

happened many times with oyo, hotel denied checkin many times by giving silly excuses.. oyo gave option to either refund or book another hotel... same for all companies.. they can't do anything about it.. nowadays hotel staff not very good..
oyo, goibibo and other can just give you refund or book another hotel... what you can do is take another hotel if needed otherwise opt for refund.. but you must gave a negative feedback on google maps and other place where that hotel is showing.. so that other travellers don't face the same problem..
tip : always check reviews on google maps of the hotel you are booking on apps ( recent reviews).. this can give you basic idea
Damn! I have a hotel reserved with mmt (31st Aug) for a tight date @ 1, I was thinking to make the balance thru gift card luxury availbale @ 11% off but now I am not sure if I should take that risk because if they cancel and refund i will get stuck with family as well as money will get stuck in gift card.
Talk to the hotel, and see if they have any room available.
