Hii guys

My phone went kaput, it's not getting charged been to repair shop too but even after changing jack it's not working.

Need a phone suggestion budget is really not fixed but thinking of getting something under 15k & later during sale exchange it  for a good performance phone not sure if it's a good idea.

If there's any one time deals can make up to 20k.

Need something with a great performance which can last long.

So please suggest something.

@Ash-D Hey there!
As mentioned by others earlier, the Motorola g62 5G would be a great pick in this price range but since you mentioned that you would be selling your phone during the sales (most likely in the coming September), then I think you can go for a 4G phone too since 5G is still not a suitable option for many (location, price, requirements etc). Brands haven't been focusing much on the 'under 15/20K' section as of now, so it's difficult to pick one phone that has no flaws at all. So if you can use a 4G phone for now, then here are a few smartphones that you can consider buying (5G too):
  • Moto G62 (Clean UI, smooth performance, camera isn't that good but can be improved with Gcam, 120 Hz IPS LCD display.)
  • iQOO Z6 5G is very similar to the Moto G62, same processor with Funtouch OS at a lower price.
  • Realme 10 (4G, 90 Hz AMOLED display, 50MP primary camera gives good shots, but no ultrawide lens)
  • Moto G72 (4G, Great display-120 Hz P-OLED 10 bit, Good primary camera, Performance isn't the best but can manage day-to-day tasks and light gaming)
  • Redmi Note 12 (Good performance, great display, good primary camera, but the brand has a bad reputation for bricking its phones, Redmi phones generally have better resale value than other phones, so it can be a good option in that sense)
Haven't included any phones above 20K since I don't know of any good discount available on them as of now.

iQoo Neo 6 currently best value at Rs 21849 with Amazon Pay ICICI cc. Snapdragon 870, E4 Amoled display, solid dual stereo speakers and 4700 mah battery with 80W charging. Flagship Samsung GW1 primary 64 MP camera with OIS, amazing haptics and not heavy (roughly 180 gms). Only downside limited number of 5G bands. but Jio 5G works fine as confirmed by a dimer in iQoo Neo 6 thread. Or else if want something in sub 15k range, then Moto G62 best VFM. in sales often comes for 13.5k with bank offers on Jiomart. Though resale of both iQoo and Moto not really promising.

If there are hopes for repairs of the existing one or emotional attachment to it,

then can consider using a second hand phone.. as a 'stop gap' mechanism.

.

I mean seriously, there was a time (2006-2007) I myself had paid 30000ish for the Sony Ericsson P910i and its proprietary memory stick, for India warranty.

And imported the S700i.

.

But not there is little to no distinction between these glass bricks.

Having a friend, relative's second hand phone

Or locally showing any used phone from the market.. to a known, reliable service centre person.. is one way to get the phone evaluated prior to purchasing.

.

And if going for new, then have to give some brand preferences in the OP.

Or like how some people want to avoid xyz processor, other hardware like certain display types or certain country of origin.

So.. mentioning that upfront, might be helpful.

Moto is not known for image quality in lower mid segment. Neo 6 images were heavily saturated & over processed according to initial reviews, maybe they have improved it with updates. Still it's a vfm device based on specs. Realme can also be considered in this range.

Buy nothing phone 1 or iqoo neo 6.

Realme GT Neo 3T delivers significantly better battery life than Poco F4. But the latter is better for longterm usage due to availability of custom ROMs and importantly capable devs. Also GCam mods should help enhance the imaging quality. SD870 will remain performant for 4-5 years easily. Marry it with 12GB RAM for breezy multitasking for years to come.

Realme Narzo series seems to have lower build quality nowadays.

Nowadays all the brands including Samsung are using cheap quality components that mainly outsourced from some supplier. Motherboard quality is getting very poor, prints tracks gets damaged easily while changing IC soldered joints not strong enough to hold PCB for a longer time & eventually some balls of IC lose connectivity motherboard. Earlier Samsung used to put their own flash emery, RAM but now almost all mobile brands using micron, SKhynix flash dis & ram. Micron emcp are one of the worst that barely lasts for 2 years if the phone used as a primary phone. Company using parts that does not lasts long basically use & throw kind of motherboards. I have recently fixed Redmi 8A dual which has  bug Volte not working on both JIO SIM but the same is working with other operators. I don't know Xiaomi deliberately injected this bug to ruin the functionality of the phone. It's been around 2 years passed since last OTA, why Xiaomi did not fix this  dual Volte problem of Redmi 8A

What exactly happening, not charging at all, slow charging. Slow charging ic caused by fake charging due to hardware failure.

I am planning for Moto g82 it's priced at ₹18,999 so will cost me ₹16,650 after coupon & card discount I guess.

I am without a phone actually so thinking of pickup same day (mine delivery showing after 4-5 days) never had experience with reliance retail delivery so maybe will be relived to get it in front of me.

Although never had a pick-up experience either hopefully they give us fresh stock and let us open box to check things.

I guess it's kind of best bet at this price Iqoo z6 pro suggested by @tappukepapa seems to be better but currently it's priced higher & most I can get it for is ₹20k.
