Pre-Script: not an phone expert and techie here.

are Realme phones not good? or have some typical issies with working or afer sales support? sad

what (brand/type) is she used to at present?

i deselected Apple/iPhone below and selected many brands, but put a filter of 4000mAh battery (and i think headphone jack) to narrow down the result.

my aunt is going for (Samsung) M31 i think, after using some Micromax or Xiaomi type phone.
https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nPriceMin=300&chk35mm=selected&nBatCapacityMin=4000&sMakers=59,5,46,61,2,50,33,121,45,58,102,83,17,73,20,74,66,64,8,4,12,1,95,82,6,32,11,9,7,19,123,49,124,98,80,62&sAvailabilities=1&sOSes=2

but you can add back or change filter choices.
like: show only reviewed devices.

i feel, if she🙇🏻 can get used to the UI and apps, then iPhones (with good cover and screen protector) easily survive 3-4 years if handled well.

Vivo and Oppo mostly only offer ’jack of all master of none" options in that price range.
Xiaomi and Moto now have proper after sales service in most areas.
Nokia is not adding much value after HMD Global took over, but sometimes compete well with Oppo, Vivo type brands.

HTC amd Moto have clean, no nonsense basic UI and the phones we have had were really sturdy.
if she👩🏻‍🦱 using it for long term and then obviously “resale price” is not a major issue, then HTC is H I G H L Y H recommended. (unsure of the exact models but HTC do not have a long line-up, so take a pick).

otherwise, Samsung M series or A series phones in the 20-25k bracket are 👌🏽.

but better check UI reviews or nuances typical to the model first.
☡(something as simple as volume rocker and power button placement or poor tactile feed-back can ruin the experience).☡

avoidable build quality and choice of components
(it just shows that their extensive marketing strategy/game to push the ‘nothing too exciting’ succeeded in making people think it is worth it).

the way that phone is made, is the way used to “build” assembled PCs in the 2000s
(fix a price range and somehow get the components that fit within that final price).
their software/UI is the only thing that’ll save the phone.
but even then, their batteries deteriorate rather soon within couple of years and that risk might be there with Norx also.

One Plus Nord: Best specs. Inconsistent but still acceptable skin. Have heard about display issues though. Camera is acceptable. Chinese by the way and that reason alone should be enough to avoid it.

Moto One Fusion: Brick heavy. But stock Android and same 765 to go with it which should output an excellent performance. Display is fine. Camara should be on par if not better than Nord. No magnetic compass though.

Correction- Moto has 730G, not 765G. Thanks to below post to point out my mistake.

Samsung m31s/ m31: Bunch of Samsungs just because. Only display and battery are advantage from the above two, rest all are inferior. Fine camera. Third class software. And m31s overpriced just with an upgraded camera sensor, making m31 the better value I believe.

Moto One fusion plus has 730g.

M31s should be good for basic games & stuff. As for 3 years I don’t have that long an experience with Exynos chip- I’ve just ordered M21 for dad. Maybe someone else can give input @LIMBO

Also you can ask on XDA forums.

How much did m21 cost you and should I go for it over m31?

I purchased it for 12200 during sale. As camera is the main difference check out some camera reviews of M31 to see whether it’s worth the extra money.

Besides card offer, which other offer was applied? Also if I want to buy in near future, what are the best offers…

There was extra 500 off in addition to card offer. If you can wait a month then you can buy it during October Diwali sale.
