Thailand has some of the strictest defamation laws in the world. An American man living in Thailand is experiencing this firsthand right now, as he’s being sued for a negative hotel review that he left online.

all right so I read it in detail and now it makes a tiny bit more sense than earlier. The man had defamed the hotel of points related to slavery, and coronavirus. That still doesn’t make much sense though
American embassy will take care of it.
