thts the problem, even if there are 2 usb ports on the charger it will fast charge if only 1 phone is connected, if you connect 2 phones both will charge slowly

If you’re willing to pay more, you won’t have that limitation

I use this one, it does 45W (laptop) +18W (mobile).

does PD port fast charge a mobile with QC?

Nope
Max you will get 10w charging speed + you need to buy a separate usb-c to usb-c cable (Assuming your phone’s got type-c port)

QC4 certified adapters can do both QC and USB-PD, not vice-versa
Check this promo image of GaN charger, the type-c ports can only do USB-PD

As I understand it, it’s compatible both ways.

Even if the charger doesn’t explicitly mention compatibility with it, “Quick Charge 4+ supports USB Power Delivery (USB PD) as its primary signaling method.”

https://www.notebookcheck.net/Qualcomm-Quick-Ch...

“Quick Charge 4.0 will have a big plus compared to most other proprietary standard: it will be compatible with the USB-C standard Power Deliver (PD). That means, that in the future, a USB-C-PD compatible laptop charger will be able to fast charge a Quick Charge 4.0 compatible smartphone and vice versa.”

“Both versions also allow you to use USB Power Delivery (USB-PD) chargers to reach speeds of up to 27W, so your phone or tablet will work with just about any fast charger.”

I’d imagine the QC charging IC supports USB-PD. I’ve tried the Baseus charger on nearly 10 phones (proprietary/QC/PD) and they all charge at speeds higher than 10W with the C1 output.

GaN chargers still too expensive for common people, cost needs to come down below 2k

QC4/+ Charging IC supports USB-PD as it does Quick charging (QC4+/QC3/QC2) & USB-PD (upto 27W) via same port. A USB-PD charger also needs to be QC4+ complaint to be able to Quick charge devices (QC 2.0/3.0). And while its possible, USB-PD charger can fast charge devices (more than 10W) but you need a certified QC charger for Qualcomm quick charge (as per NotebookCheck )

This is what i understood based on above articles and some other resources . Also that QC4 is compatible with USB-PD but not backward compatible with QC3/2, probably the same reason why there exists a USB-A port marked in yellow, QC3 standard & Majority of the devices being sold in india have got QC3/3+ standard
