I have Redmi K20.
Another family member has Samsung M30s.

Even after Googling, I was unable to identify which Car Charger will be best & fastest for phones above? QC3.0? USB-PD? Normal 3.1Amp? Normal 2.4Amp? Can anyone help?

K20 supports qualcomm quick charge 4.0 & up to 18w but not sure if QC 4.0 charger will also work smoothly with M30S which seems to have QC 3.0 support.

Yes, all these fragmented companies have created a messed up technology ecosystem in the name of profits. Looks like have to do hit and trial only.

Both phones should fast charge with a USB Power Delivery adapter. Quick Charge 3.0 and older has been effectively abandoned so you shouldn't buy a brand new adapter for it in 2022. QC 4 and newer is fully compatible with USB PD.

Samsung's current 25/45W Super Fast Charging tech is just another name for USB PD PPS aka the industry standard but I don't think the M30S supports it. Unfortunately, that means it was one of the last phones with Adaptive Fast Charging. Still, I think it should charge at 15W via USB-PD's 5V 3A or 9V 1.67A profiles.

In short, buy USB Power Delivery (optionally PPS if you can find it), especially if you will upgrade to newer smartphones in the near future. Virtually every device supports USB PD now.

K20   - Quick Charge 4.0 (backwards compatible with QC 3.0/QC 2.0)
M30s
- Samsung Adaptive Fast charging (aka QC 2.0)

There are many car chargers with both USB-PD (via USB Type-C) and QC 3.0/2.0 (via USB 3.0) support

why both with faster charging in a car? if you leave your phone connected long enough, map nav etcc.. it will be charged full even before you notice

My existing car charger charges 1% in 3-4 mins. If I drive for 30 mins, the phone does not even get charged 10%.
