Vi has increased its monthly base plan from 49 to 79 in all circles (Earlier 49 plan was still being offered in some circles)
New plans
₹49: 38 talktime – 14 days validity
₹79: 64 talktime – 28 days validity
₹95: 74 talktime – 35 days validity

Also service validity removed for 48 pack

After using USSD code you gave last month, got SMS that no service validity..But validity got extended last month.
Now *121# mentions no service validity.
I wish someone tries 48 pack & update wink

Most likely 100 would give 28 days service validity, other topups explicitly mention no service validity, but this one mentions “na”, but again don’t know if 45 auto deduction will occur.

Any idea about BSNL base plans? 79 a month is too costly.

As expected, 100 gave 28 days validity. No OG sms. Thanks to FC for sending 50 off code sunglasses
Kept the balance below 120 to be on safe side wink

You can disable auto-debit. It can be re-enabled later if required unlike Airtel where it gets reactivated only after expiry of a different pack.

So was I, but someone here told me that 79 recharge also gives 28 days validity. I will be recharging before auto deduct next month.

Finally mum’s 95 recharge having 56 days validity has expired. Going through the 7-day grace period now. Once over I’ll recharge with 128/129 and port out to BSNL. I don’t want to, but obviously no other option these greedy bunch left me. Sad because this is a 15 year old no. No matter how unethical Voda turned recently, won’t forget that during this period never had a problem with them and their customer care was also very supportive.

Nice journey.

@mastervijay
I never used auto debit off feature & don’t know how it works.
On last day of OG validity, you will off it. After 7 days IC calls will stop.
Say after 10-15 days you will ON it..what happens then?

  • They will debit instantly or what?
  • How much will they deduct?
  • What happens between OFF & ON to IC calls & SMS? I hope we cannot use data too in this period.

bsnl already did that, 397 validity decreased from 365 to 300, so no more price increase unless cartel do it again. Even if they do, it will still be lot cheaper than cartel.

From where you people are getting new sim for MNP to bsnl?
My father told that its office looks like bhoot bungalow now after those uncles/aunties took 90L each for VRS & left
Wanted to change every sim at home to bsnl 4G but still struck with 3G as no retailer exists now

I hope you’re asking for Vi network.
Personally not tried ON-OFF ussd game.. smile Bcoz i use only ₹48 data pack always. But AFAIK they won’t start deduct immediately if you trigger the ussd for auto-debit. But you can always activate the desired pack from main balance using their ussd code (including this auto-debit pack i.e ₹46 pack which is now 128)
Once in a 3-4 months i use to dial STOP auto-debit ussd code to ensure no auto-debit.

Back in June? while trying to disable auto-debit I made some mistake in dialling the code and Rs 46 was instantly debited. I wouldn’t be surprised since 46 pack has been withdrawn Vi might activate 128 instead which is pure garbage. Hence I am not gonna even try.

I noticed yesterday 49 plan under best offers (*121#) for my number offering 28 days validity. But since then whenever I try to access the same USSD it shows some connection problem or invalid mmi code error. If anyone sees the 49 plan under best offers still, kindly DM me a screenshot. I would really appreciate it.
