Hi guys,

My Annual recharge for primary number of Vodafone (Vi) is just exhausted. Should I continue and go ahead with yearly recharge or port to Jio?

Will Vodafone sustain for next 1 year?

It's stock is at 52 week low...

Note: Already having Airtel in secondary sim.

Just hope it sustains. The way Airtel is hiking rates, can't even imagine what will happen if Vi goes out of business. Also network varies by area. Even though not doing good financially, the network of Vi is one of the best in my area both in terms of coverage as well as speed

Logically voda would go bankrupt before covid but then covid happened and somehow it's surviving, currently they can't even pay tower fees to indus tower, indus threatening to cut access to vi for some months now, but not cutting it so again it surviving somehow joy

Jio or Airtel would probably strike a deal with Vi and buy all the customers and provide them free connection for a year or till Vi plan ends. They will gain new users this way so it’s profit for them anyways.

Using VI as a primary sim not at all a good idea because of its current financial condition port ur number to jio or airtel use VI as only as a secondary sim otherwise one day it will get bankrupted and you'll lose signal like Aircel it wiil be very hard to port

Too many diverse queries in there.

.

What do you mean by: will it sustain for another year?

In your mind, is there a risk/fear of its operations for customers will be completely wound up?

.

.

How is the stock price, by itself, a measure of a company's survivability?

(Listed companies may perform miserably on a bourses.. for short durations or extended intermittent periods.. and that might have little to no bearing on its overall operations.

Not that giving examples are needed, but in the 1970s 1980s 1990s, the promoters themselves openly rigged stock prices or feigned bankruptcy too.

In recent times, Meta/Facebook and many other names not just lost investor confidence..but some even had deeper issues, suspicious activities/ financial frauds.. and still kept floating.)

.

Idea voice support is unavailable between 00:00 till about 06:00.

Idea routinely gives free data or validity plus data packs and thereby let's one retain the number.

VI is confirmed'ly barring ALL services beyond the seven day grace period after any active (outgoing) pack lapses.

Not even incoming SMS messages get delivered after seven days of plan expiry.

If one calls VI customer support.. more than 8-10 times in a day.. they still have some internal escalation to a resolver team person.

Often, usually when calling from a non VI number, if I call 18001234567 multiple times.. out of the blue.. some slightly senior customer service associate calls back within 24 hours.

.

Jio too had this.. once upon a time.

.

.

Jio customer care is basically Haptik or some such rubbish company they acquired.

.

Jio CSAs are probably trained to deny/divert the customer away.. rather than registering an official complaint for even service outage complaints.

Their standard policy seems to be: make the customer beg or threaten them with porting out. Till then, deny SR registration under one or the other pretext.

.

Since Jio CSAs are mostly taking calls on their personal numbers, and work from private premises.. they never let one speak to an senior lead.

.

Jio sometimes/ (now) oftentimes starts engaging fake/real CRM agencies.

These call the Cx to threaten/harass. Often after any valid pack is over and the Jio number is not having outgoing... calls start coming.. aaking one to recharge or else.. the incoming calls too would stop.

.

Even though Jio rarely, if ever, stops incoming.

.

Signal strength and coverage.. only you can decide on that parameter.

.

Idea/Vodafone seems to be giving loyalty points and other rewards for in app purchases/ recharges.

Jio might have a bit more expansive bouquet of complimentary digital content.. ranging from news to entertainment.

.

VI too has some OTT and other content given complimentary on some plans.

Govt already has a major stake in Vi. So most probably, both Vi and BSNL would be given in a bundle deal to a new player.

If Indus doesnt receive its money from Vi then it would go Bankrupt first and then Vi will😄

Vi will in all likelihood take little time to ape Airtel thereby digging it's grave a little deeper yet again.
