Vi went a step forward and implemented the new tariffs one day earlier from 25th November 2021
Finally we have a Cartel in telecom industry. Who should we leave and who should we join? No one will keep prices low now considering there aren’t a lot of players left

Does Vi allow plan queueing?
Officially Vi customer care says they do not allow or have the provision of any plan queuing however as per multiple SMS received from Vi by users and by personal experience, Vi does allow plan queuing however it’s not easy as Jio and some points need to be followed
The conditions for queueing in Vi are :-
1. Same plan amount which you are currently having must be recharged (for example if you are currently using the ₹399 plan having 1.5GB data/day + UL calls/SMS for 56 days then only you can recharge again with the same ₹399 plan to queue it, if you recharge with other plan it’ll get overridden
2. Plan should be an unlimited one (plans such as 79 which offer a fixed amount of data are NOT eligible to be queued)
3. Plan should give/have daily quota data benefits (like a fixed GB/day) else it’s not eligible for queuing (the ₹379 plan gives a fixed 6GB data for entire plan duration and unlimited calls and SMS per day for 84 days – in this case the data is fixed and does not reset or renew everyday so it’ll not queue)
Lastly since Vi doesn’t officially tell anything there is always some risk however people including me have tried and it works
Finally? Airtel, vodafone, idea were together called AVOID cartel even a decade ago 😂 They never weren’t a cartel!
Stupid move by Vi though. Should have waited a month for everyone else to move into their network and then raise tariffs.
Bas ab yahi dekhna baki reh gaya tha.
Let’s move to Himalayas. No network, no cellphones

Haha yes!

I don’t think even Jio will retain it’s old tariffs (considering they did increase the tariffs in 2019 after Airtel, Vi) in a similar fashion
Jio will too do 100% but still have it little lower than AVOID so they can still get the subscribers.

Now Jio added to the Cartel too
It was the first who proposed this cartel isn’t it?
Vi recharge from main balance

.

I have a secondary Vi number that I use for incoming calls mostly…currently doing 79 recharge for 28 days…..Delhi NCR….Can someone recommend should I port to Jio or else stay in Vi & do the 1499 recharge?
Mobile Data Plan= Share Market
Before Jio= Pre-Covid Level
Jio Entry= Covid in Full From Rock Bottom Level
After 5 Years of Jio= After about 2 Years of Covid
I still keep remembering that I bought Rs 1500 plan of Airtel for 30GB 3G data in December 2016 which got exhausted in a month, Then immediately went to jio store and bought new sim.

The best thing to do is I’ll recommend porting to BSNL/MTNL (if available)
In case no option like this for you I’ll recommend to stay with Vi only since Jio will also increase the prices certainly and it won’t be such of a difference
Next BSNL (reducing plan validity days and increasing the plan value) and then finally Jio will do the same.
All the networks are waiting for this…who will do first, so that they can follow.

Ok, thanks. Any idea if the 79 plans can be queued for Vi?

Yes you’re absolutely right
It was bound to happen. JIO will 100% follow tariff hike.
No movement in Vodafone share price as market anticipated it & all the actions happened yesterday itself.
P.S. – We are moving towards duopoly in telecom sector [not sure how long VI can survive even after tariff hike] prepare to pay more in coming years.
People asking whether they should port, please wait for few days. Yesterday you were asking whether you can port out of Airtel and now VI also increased price so now you want to go to Jio. Now wait for Jio to do something first and then decide.
Also this is no longer 2009 that you plethora of options like Docomo, BPL Mobile, Aircel, Videocon and so on.

Good strategy. Missed.

After few years, duopoly : Jio+Bsnl vs Airtel+Vi
Can I queue the VI recharge of 1499 or for that matter Airtel recharge of 1499 for 2 or 3 years.

Hope they continue with it. I don’t think they’ll discontinue those benefits
Now this post will be flooded with queue questions.
So can 599+599 be queued?

Yes. Jio will also increase the price for their plans, we will come to know that in a couple of days. But even after the price increase Jio plans will be lowest between airtel and Vi.
Also we have one advantage with Jio is we can buy the recharges and keep in voucher form. So that we can decide on when and which pack to be activated next, or we can recharge the same to other jio nos. (Unlike Airtel, where some users today lost their validity of existing pack for recharging new pack).
Already i have kept seven 599 vouchers and six 555 vouchers in Jio. Retailer here informed me in 1st week of November that, there may be a price increase in Jio by November end or 1st seek of december.
